i just rented dancing at the blue iguana and i thought it was HORRIBLE!

Some guy on Amazon compiled a list.

I have seen most of these, and sadly have to report that most of them are terrible, and about the only thing they would "inspire" a stripper to do is well...quit.
If you're into direct to video 'B' movies you might want to do a search by actress. Here are three 'B' actresses who have played strippers many times:
Tane McClure, Nikki Fritz, Maria Ford
I do forewarn, in many of the movies that these ladies starred in, the strippers are either killed, or are the killers themselves, so they'll make a flick like "Blue Iguana" or "Showgirls" look like Mary Poppins. So much for breaking stereotypes, heh.
Former SCJ now in rehab.

My personal fave: "Stripped to Kill"
It's a classic.

how bout carmen electra's areobic striptease dvd..or sin city ( it's now showing in theaters)
vicious circle
Sin City taken from a Graphic Novel otherwise known as an adultish comic book. One scene with Alba as a cowgirl with a lasso stripper...no stripping. The rest is comic book violence scantily clad hookers who double as a mercenary group protecting their turf.
Carmen Electra brings stripping to bored housewives everywhere and stripper wannabees. The videos are great for someone who has never danced to teach them how to move and bring spice/confidence to their relationships. No stripping in this one just moving and grooving.
I have THE ART OF EROTIC STRIPTEASE from the Spearmint Rhino Clubs and that one might be betterActual stripping in this one plus polework and lap dance segments as well as floor shows.
Dancing at the Blue Iguana is the only one remotely believable to me although I rolled my eyes at the "stereotypical dancer profiles" I agree Sandra Oh's character was probably closer to real life. Has a life seperate from her club, a brain in her head, and talent aside from her gender and job.
I honestly have not seen many stripper movies but seeing Demi Moore as a stripper made me think DAYUM GIRL if you can look that hot at your age then what the bloody hell is my problem, and then I bitch slapped myself![]()
Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib. Not from his feet to be walked on. Not from his head to be superior, but from the side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved."

If you just want to see some pole dancing the Miss Pole Dance Australia 2006 competition released a 4min video with highlights from the comp on YouTube:

I absolutely loved her in that role. It was truly inspirational to see her get the better of (and a lot of money from) the guy in the VIP. While it may not be totally realistic, I just wished it was my little purse getting filled with his 'dollars of desperation'. hehe

Remember these are like the top pole dancers in Australia. Most of the girls in the video are Instructors not just dancers!
You might actually have an advantage being lanky! I've noticed that it's always the lighter more petite girls who pick up the moves most easily - they are so light and have such low body weight they find it easier to throw themselves around the pole (while size AU12 me is struggling to lift my hips above my waist. Geez my legs are heavy!) I get so jealous of the little asian girls who can do everything....![]()
"The players club"starring Lisa Raye and "Striptease" starring Demi Moore!
