I'm curious.

I'm curious.
About 400- 700 per week. 400 being in a small clb and 700 being in a large up-scale club.
The way that the manager at my club complains about the hours vs the pay must not be good at all............
I'm dating a club PR/marketing manager now ( different club than where I work). He gets about a grand a week and % of sales bonus, 4x a year.
His last club paid his rent on a condo and paid like $700 a week after taxes.

I don't know what they make, but most of them are overpaid in my opinion.

I agree with Kryssy, its about 4-7 hundred average across the country working 60-80 hrs a week. The breakdown hourly isnt good at all.alot of times, the doorguys make more money then the managers with a whole lot less headache and paperwork.
But as others have said, the manager can skim off the top real easy and many have lil scams going to balence things out a little.
Its a low paying suck ass job for shamful money, but the line of applicants is neverending.
Go figure huh?

it's like 14-19 dollars a hour, some clubs give sales % and bounses, plus usually any extra money they pick up via fines and other fees. Just me but I put SC managers in the same boat as used car salesman.
I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

Must suck to be a manager and to see a 20-year-old bring home more in a night than you do in a week. I'm hoping my club gives a sales % or some other bonus to the managers.Originally Posted by Muyaha
Watch out for the stereotypes of used car salesmen. I think they are the male counterparts of strippers. I used to do their payroll. The bad ones make crap. The good ones can make over $100K/year. That's right: over $100K/year selling USED cars.

I meant they are similar in the personality area... both are kind of slimy. But that's just my personal blanket statement from my experience.

remind me never to manage a SC
The managers where I work now are all very nice people and I really think they earn their income, I just have no idea what it is and I feel it would be rude to ask.
Hmmm
<----- General Manager for 8 years.
The pay structure can change dramaticly from club to club or between organizations.
Typicly a manager will make between 75.00 and 150.00 a shift plus bonuses that are tied to club performance, VIP room $$, and entertainer count.
700 to 1000 a week in a small to med sized club doing 20 to 30k a week in sales sounds about right if you want to average it.
Being a manager of a large or high sales club in the right organization/owner can bring in 2 to 3k a week for a good manager.
Things also get abit tricky between juice bars and alcohol bars. Juice bars don't typicaly bring in the high gross sales as a liquor club, but the net profit can be alot higher because of less expenses ie liquor costs, taxes, licensing, and insurance... so a manager can still do extremely well in a juice club.
It really all comes down to how well and how much money does the manager generate for the owner. I have witnessed clubs that have done extremely well with one manager then decide to get rid of the high paid manager for one that will work for less and then the club goes right into the shitter.
Note: Everything above pertains to the proffesional manager, not the stereo typical drug addict who uses the club as his personal dating service and hangout.![]()

the managers at my club bust there balls and take alot of grief and paid piddly squat.

I know that some of the better GMs in Texas get six figures. And at one club I worked in a more rural area, I was told by the manager that they didn't accept tips because "we make plenty of money." I think that just like the dancers here, you have a really, really big range of income between managers.

But.....
As you and Miss Wayward have pointed out...
Your talking Gm,not "in the trenches" managers.I know that some of the better GMs in Texas get six figures.
I know many GM's who bang 6 figures and earn every penny, but show me a club manager who hits 6 figures,I will show you a guy banging the owners wife.![]()
This is how GM's even rate 6 0's at the end of the year, the endless supply of low paid, over qualified, shift managers, to run 5-10 clubs.

It depends on how much their club makes. When I worked at NCT (which is the 2nd biggest $ maker in SF for Deja Vu) the boss had 4 brand new porsches (i think thats how you spell it?) and I heard his house was insane. The mangrs at all the other clubs I danced at varied depending on their club of course. All of them said SF was the best place for managers to make money because of how deja vu has it set up. That's why each mangr puts alot of time and effort into their club. It's big competiton between them all out here. Anyone below the GM make shit though, so they always complain.
