Default I just stupidly bought a book

It;s got my most fearful story in it. The book is called called 'Skeleton Crew'. The most freaky story i have ever read is in it. It's called "Survivor type".

It thought i'd spread the misfourtune. Misery loves company after all. I mean it's all about different seasons, right? I mean, if not we'd have to be living in Salem's lot! Maybe even under the Cycle of the Werewolf!

After all, we're all living in The Dead Zone, if we aren't careful.

This is the most hurling, vomitous most sickening story ever wtitten, but MY GOD does it need to be in creepshow III (they are in the early stages of making that flick). But i gotta take a stand! It makes you have some stuff in your head that a Dreamcatcher won't deal with. It's like the one half of me hates it but the Dark Half of me loves it. Stephen King's version of Robinsin Cruseu (or however you spell it). only on an Atoll... With one Tree. And no food. And several pounds of Heroin. And a sharp knife. And a lifeboat with no FOOD. And it starts with a broken anke. Imagine it from there. It's like looking through the eyes of the Dragon!

Hurl away but it's sooooooo well written. Stephen king is the fucking BOMB. For me he's on the level of Robert E. Howard, J.R.R. Tolkien, and H.P. Lovecraft.

HOW can a short story thos GROSS resonate soooooo much?

I mean the Gunslinger might send you to the Dark Tower! And you wouldn't want that!

Note: I am totally against the use of subliminal messages! They are straight from the Tommynockers!

Carrie would be mad if you didn't read it... and we know what happens then...

I was just teasing, but that short story is grotesque. I dig "The Mist" though (which is why i bought it), though "Beachworld" kinda sucks.

King is like the little girl with the little curl in that old nursery rhyme, "When she was good she was very, very, good, but when she was bad she was horrid."

I LOVE stephen King! And Skeleton Crew is awesome, you need to check out Four Past Midnight, I think that's what's called, it's another book of short stories that you'll love.
I didn't like the Gunslinger or Dark Tower stories or even the Green Mile, but I 'm not much of a series lover, unless it's Anne Rice.
You need to read Hearts in Atlantis, Stephen King actually seems to have a heart! Yay.. And I LOVED the Regulators and whenever he writes under a different name.
The subliminal messages? I must have missed them, I read your entry over and over and it just made me want hamburgers....

........I LOVE Stephen King. I've read every book but Cycle of the Werewolf and couldn't get into Insomnia at the time. It's been so long since I read Skeleton Crew that I need to reread it, because I can't remember any of the stories you talked about. I think the DT series had a perfect ending, but some people were highly pissed at SK. I've started reading Dean Koontz now. I haven't picked up one of his I didn't like, yet!

I sat and read it all the way through instead of doing homework...lol

As far as stephen King goes, his stuff scares the shit outta me. The book IT came to life. I sware. I had to sleep with the lights on for 2 weeks. I learned my lesson and never read any of his stuff again.

Not all of it his stuff is scary. "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" isn't scary a bit (But, then, you don't really have to read it since the movie is so damned good).

i also love stephen king. i've read some of the dark tower ones and found that it took me a little while to get into them but once i did they were pretty interesting. I really like bag of bones, I must've read it at least 15 times over the last few years.

I've read a good many of Stephen's books, "The Stand" is my favorite. I thought the Dark Tower series got worse after the first couple in the series. Many of the "sci-fi" ideas like alternate universes, "Author as Creator" etc. weren't original. The idea of visiting the Oz universe was used by Robert Heinlein in "The Number Of The Beast."
"I was there to see beautiful naked women. So was everybody else. It's a common failing."
