Anyone watch this show?

Anyone watch this show?
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Yes, I'm hooked!
This is the craziest show ever. I can't believe it's healthy for those people to have their intervention on tv, but whatever.
Did you see the one with the gambler? When he was getting all that money from his parents? I wish I was that manipulative, I would CLEAN UP at work!
On second thought, "If you don't give me $2000 tonight, I'll kill myself" might not work as well in a stripclub as it does with loving parents. Hmmmm.
The girl on meth was kinda cool. Her mom & grandma were super annoying though. Very unhelpful.
I'm not watching the one with the girl who cuts herself (commercial), nope, that one is bound to be toooo gross!
Oh, and the girl who didn't leave her house, and spent like $100,000 on the home shopping network, she was quite likeable I thought.
That shopping addiction episode kept me out of the mall for at least, like, 2 days. haha.
I watch it now and then - I don't go out of my way to see it. Lived with those types multiple times in my life. Ole Deo never learns - but I tell ya - the next one is gonna have to be perfect! No more of this "Oh, well, no one is perfect" bullshit I tell myself.
That show kinda just brings back bad memories.

What's interesting about this show is that it try's to hide the Family Dynamics that play into the the addicition problems, kinda of like the Nanny. This show really doesn't show the family dynamics that happens behind closed doors that helped create the addiction problems. The best example was the White House intern who turned into a heroin addict. The camera didn't show until the end that her father was a codependent enabler who was trying to sabotage her leaving for rehab. The producers seem to try and edit out all those dynamics, and that anything shown was left in by accident.
^^^^^
Damn I missed that one.

Anyone still watch this? Last night was a bulimic stripper who stripped to support her large food bills she then threw up everyday.

Yep, I've seen too much real-life "Intervention"-grade drama to watch the show.
The Eating Disorders Interventions- This is shared with total humor- my dad CANNOT believe such a disorder as bulimia exists because he grew up so poor in rural Mexico he had to hunt & fish to eat...there was no grocery store & one was lucky to eat once or twice a day.
That's kinda why I can't watch that stuff..people inventing misery for themselves when millions on planet Earth live in real, unearned misery.
An eating disorder is a mental health issue often related to traumatic experiences.
I love this show I am hooked. I do find it extremely unrealistic though. I mean, not many people have the total support of family and can afford a $30,000 treatment centre.
I can't believe that girl's parents were so upset that she was a stripper when she was THROWING UP HER FOOD!!!
I absolutely LOVE this show!! Boyfriend records all of them for me on his DVR and I watch them when I go visit him (he lives in California) and he's at work! I don't have a TV...

I saw an episode last night that made my jaw drop. Yes, it was sad to hear about the crippled guys addictions ( I must stress plural because he was hooked on at least five different drugs at once). But but but he spent $84,000 on his addictions in the past year alone. He was in an ATV accident that rendered him crippled and was awarded one million dollars. But the guy spent 84,000fuckerwhoos on his addiction. WTF WTF WTFNow that's depression at it's finest.
If you don't stand for something, you fall for ANYTHING.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I watched an episode recently with a bulemic girl. I hated how the interventionist tells her parents, "She has a HORRIBLE secret. She's a stripper."
I feel so much for all the people on this show. Life can be hard without an addiction and having to deal with that too has to be tough beyond belief. I really can't imagine. What I find interesting is when they show at the end how they are doing a few months or a year or whatever down the road, it seems like some of the ones you thought there was no hope for do better than the ones you thought would do better.
OH MY GOD! I freaking love this show...I cant believe you guys havent mentioned the one with the meth/alcohol addicted stripper who was CRAZY as fuck! She was hands down the most insane person ever on that show by far...She lived in her Dad's rental property and it was absolutely TRASHED! She ran around naked (which is fine) but she tried to beat up her sister outside NAKED in front of the whole camera crew and god knows who else. She convinced random liquor store patrons to buy alcohol for her, and tried to beat up a camera man who wouldnt buy alcohol for her...she was fucking crazy as hell...she thought she was related to god, then the devil and she formulated these wacked out math equations all over her walls and shit. Wow meth is one hell of a drug.
