Default Blah! What works as a Gown??

Hmm...I checked around here and didn't find the answer I need.

What I need to know is what can I wear for a gown? I have looked at lots of sites on-line but I'm not sure if there is a length requirement or what. I'm wanting to start work at this club that is a gown club on weekends and I don't have one. I have a couple outfits and shoes but NO gown. What do you need for it to qualify as a gown, floor length? Can it be see through? What if the slits are really high? I just don't want to wear the wrong thing.

i think the best idea may be to ask the dj/manager/whoever from said club

I've always thought the lenght is what makes it. Maybe a little fancier than a normal outfit.

I wore something similar to this for a contest that trequired evening gowns and it worked great.

Definitely ask the folks at the club. Whereas some places consider this a gown, there are some that want something more like this. There are some places that have a required % of the body covered by the gown, required length, etc... Hell, I've seen some places demand specific brands! Egads.

At my club, a gown is floor/ankle length. You need to find out if there are any "restrictions". At VIP's, the gowns cannot have slits higher than the hip. You also cannot have your midriff exposed (you can wear a mesh covering over it, though).

You really need to check with your manager before you go out and purchase anything.
