    Making the pole smoother???

Since i got my new pole in I was wondering how to make it smoother. Its a steel pole from home depot its not brass. So its kinda just like a pole used for the stop signs . How can i make it smoother like the chrome ones??? Is there some sort of paint, primer, etc.??? or what can i do to it???

Buff it down with some sort of compound and a power tool, like a random-orbit sander. Is it black steel (like a gas pipe) or galvanized (little gray crystals) or just plain steel. I seem to recall that black steel, or black iron, pipes have a waxy corrosoin-proof coating. I think plain is a better choice. Oh, and watch those screws that attach the flanges to floor and ceiling; you can get badly snagged on them. I don't think paint is gonna help at least until you get that surface smooth. In any case paint is going to wear off fast.

There are places that will chrome-plate the pole for some cash if the surface is prepped well. That will be very smooth.

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

If you have, or can borrow an electric drill, you can buy a buffing pad attachment, and the buffing compound as mentioned above. You'll get far better results than trying to do it by hand
