    Default Creating my playlist- help?

So I'm trying to create my playlist, and am having a little bit of trouble. How many songs do I need? Our club is a lot of young guys, and some in their thirties/fourties. I'd like a good mix of 80's, and R&B/Hip-Hop. Sensual stuff with a good beat. Here's my list so far. Does anything stand out that I shouldn't be using?

Also, I assume the DJ will judge the crowd, and then play what he thinks is fitting from my play list?

    Frankie's Play List

    "Cream"-Prince
    "James Dean"-Daniel Bedingfield
    "Hurt So Good"-John Mellencamp
    "Peaches and Cream"-112
    "Hey Sexy Lady"-Shaggy
    "Take Me Home"-Terror Squad
    "Only You"-Ashanti
    "Hot and Wet"-112
    "Baby I'm Back"-Baby Bash
    "Nasty Grind"-Adina Howard
    "Outrageous"-Britney Spears
    "Breathe On Me"-Britney Spears
    "Naughty Girl"-Beyonce

If anything has some suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's something you may like... The Killers - Mr. Brightside (Thin White Duke Remix)

It's like a menagerie of 80s synth-pop interwoven with todays current blend of dance music remixed by Stuart Price (aka Les Rythmes Digitales).

I figured i'd be a nice guy and put up an mp3 (right click and save as...) for those who might wish to hear it seeing as my sister who resides in Las Vegas is now a large fan of theirs.

contrary to belief a stripclub is not a place to be demoing so you can become the next big club dj. Play music people know and stick toit. Youre there to support the entertainers not be one.

I would guess it depends on the DJ and the club.
In lower end clubs, most dj's are just that,DJ's.
I have found that top end clubs have DJ's who are entertainers in thier own right.
They are there in support of all the entertainers, kinda like the guy with the big hat at the circus,a ring leader so to speak.
Your the show, but it revolves around the stage and dj booth because your not the only show there that night, the dj has many entertainers to juggle.
Many of us make more then 80% of the entertainers working across the country and its not just because we push play, its earned.

I think you would be amazed at some of the talent out there comming from the dj booth and if you have a chance to stop in a top notch club, specially some of the bigger ones in Dallas,You might just get a different opinion on DJ's.

The song he is talking about was just a suggestion. Its on the charts now,its about 6-8 months old and is the third national release from that cd.
I think Demas was just trying to help a dancer, its one of the things those good dj's do.
