Okay, so it's not chemical based and I didn't do it all over. BUT...is there a quick way to get it out that will not include going to a salon? Apparently, pink is NOT my manager's favorite color...![]()

It might sound wierd, but dish washing detergent will help get it out I think there is some type of bleach in it that will help it out. A sa;on guy actually told me that when someone died my hair grey and black (I am blond)
You are going to need to deeply condition it afterward, but it should take care of it for you.
Good luck

Are you blonde under the pink ? If so, try a home hightlight kit and lighten the pink to a light blonde. Then put a toner that matches the color you want . If you aren't blonde then lighten the pink and put a filler on that part and then hair color it.
Do a 10 min Olive Oil soak on it the day after the coloring to replenish the moisture and to help avoid breakage from lightening the hair.

So Olive oil is a savior? I used to put in mayonnaise, but that only strengthens hair (mine is good in tht way) olive oil will replenish? Mine grows so fast I have to dye every two to three weeks...Originally Posted by Hello~Kitty
I wonder if she would rahter go darker, won't a brown dye cover it all up or even a blonde dye? the only tihng is she's going to need to give that hair a lot of love. I know baby oil is really good for it on the days you aren't working.

You should make the pink fade as much as possible which can occur after you shampoo it a bunch. Then I might (if you're blonde) transfer in some ash blonde color and you'd probably turn out ash, because it's a darker based blonde. Or, you could always go for brown or black...lucky you didn't do Green : ) good luck!

Metalex will remove the color tint. Most Sally's carry it. I have used it in the past when my hair was accidently dyed black by my EX-colorist. Its very gentle and doesn't strip the hair.

Tell your manager to suck it like a dolphin.
"suck it like a dolphin" LOL!
For the quick fix, try brown or black hair color. Dark pigment comes from natural, not synthetic sources, so the color "sticks" under the hair cuticle better than anything lighter or Crayola colored.
Go to a salon for the final fix up job....I'm not blonde so others will have to add advice. I will say that nationally, the staff at Sally's Beauty Supply stores are wonderfully helpful and have seen probably more hair emergencies than one can imagine. Try those people.
Any hair will go light...this i know. I a still fighting to keep my hair dark, as i keep fading with the BEST treatments. However, blonde will go right over pink, just do you're strand tests along the way.
And yes olive oil is the BEST, Dry, damaged, brittle hair sucks it right in. Must apply it to dry hair and let soak. Wash out. See i can't do this at this point with trying to keep my dark, as olis will lift it. *damn it*

Glam...
I can't picture you pink... I bet its hot tho! I have a thing for girls with pink hair-oooh.. when you coming back up here??? LOL
I hope you get it fixed.. I think though, you are going to have to go to the salon sweety to get it out without frying your hair...
Keep us posted.

Okay, so yesterday, I washed 3 times with Dawn dish soap. Then I used my regular shampoo 2 more times. Yes, it is fading. The VIP host at my new club was still giving me a hard time. HOWEVER, my friend (who has pink stripes, too) saw my manager walking to work yesterday and gave him a hard time. He just laughed and said "Man, you girls are tripping me out with that hair." Or something like that. So, I approached him and he just laughed and told me that it was fine. And, really, it is. In the red/dark lights, it is so subtle that you just can't tell. (Plus, my boobs are a major source of distraction to anyone I come in contact with anyway.)End of story! Thanks ladies!
Here's the story, BTW! My girlfriend, her boyfriend and his male friend and I were drinking on Sunday. Morning. She decides that the boys should get mohawks. And boyfriend's friend should have a blue one. Her boyfriend already had some green in his and I suggest we add pink! He protests. I say, "Put pink in my hair!" So we did. Then we put some in her hair. Then we spent the afternoon (my girlfriend and I) drinking and making total asses of ourselves in North Beach. I guess my manager saw me on Sunday afternoon.Originally Posted by Miss Jessica

Lesson learned.

LoL! Yeah, Showgirls can be dicks about stuff like that sometimes. BTW, is Pete still a mngr there? I miss that place and wanna go back!

So far, I really like Showgirls and the money is better for me. Could be the time of year or dumb luck, but I feel the customers treat me better and are far better behaved than at Hustler or Hungry I. The new GM is great and there are some of the old Hustler crew that I loved working with on the crew, which ultimately affected my decision to finally try working there. I feel that the staff and management can have a huge impact on our money.Originally Posted by Magdalena_666
