Default Djoser, I need serious help.

I scrolled through the inventory of music in the DJ booth. Eminem, Jay-Z, Linkin Park, Phil Collins, and 80s hair bands. That's it. I nearly shit myself.

I'm going to need to burn a few more CDs than I had planned originally. I'd like to give them as much Tricky, Crystal Meth, NIN, Chemical Brothers, Scooter as possible and don't want to go overboard. I might kill them.

Djoser gave me terrific suggestions for Crystal Meth. So, for the others, what would be your top 5 favorite songs for strip clubs of each?

(Eventually, I'll trick them into playing Her Space Holiday and Morcheeba.)

This is an emergency. I didn't even see one Garbage song. The Britney selection was limited as well. The horror!

One of these days, I might ask to be a DJ. Seriously. I love coming across music that people enjoy. And that most DJs around my parts don't know who Jem is, well, that sucks for me.

So, uhm, name the top 5 of each? Thank you.

    NIN:

"Down In It" from the "Pretty Hate Machine" CD--my favorite NIN song

"Closer" (remix with Static-X) what Cd this comes from I haven't a clue, but it's hot...

"Ruiner" remix from "Rusty nails vol. 2" or original, either one

"I'm Afraid of Americans" a remix of the song with David Bowie, from Rusty Nails vol.4 (yes, Dorothy, this is different from what you have heard before). There is also a slowed down version of this from the same Cd, but the controversial vocals are much harder to ignore, such as "Jimmy wants to suck on a cock...", lol--but I've never had a problem yet playing either one. Make no mistake about it, this is not a jingoistic, patriotic paean to America--though it will not hurt you a bit if the customers think it is.

    "Get Down Make Love"

    "Into the Void"

OK, that's six. I have some excellent remixes I burned at the last minute when leaving Michigan, but I wouldn't know where they came from or what the exact names are yet.

    Thank you, Philly!

I adore Fatboy Slim. I was playing Palookaville over and over and over asking myself, "Is he stripclib material?" or "Do I want to hear it at work or save it for home?" I was about to include Tori Amos and realized that I want to keep her all to myself.

    *runs to NIN database*

My first CDs were NIN's Pretty Hate Machine, Jesus Jones (where are they now?), and Public Enemy's Fear of a Black Planet. Do you remember when they were sold in a cardboard box?

I was wondering about "I'm afraid of Americans." The customers would probably think of it as a tribute to the invasion of Iraq. It would work in my favor, mos def.

I have a live version of "Reptile" that Trent duets with David Bowie. I LOVE it! But its too slow for the club. PLUS, live concert versions of songs can tend to sound distorted in club......

My first club ever refused to play NIN, probably because of "Closer" burnout. I am glad that we can play him again...........

Philly DJ, you have outdone yourself--that was one of the best lists i have seen yet anywhere, and includes some of my very favorite songs!

I will be adding "Crash" and "Fire" to my collection, ASAP.

I know its kinda slow and low key,but fatboy slim has a remake of the Joker thats really really good.
Its almost like a rasta version of the old classic and its really easy to dance to.
