    Default Wing Women in NYC?

Has anyone known anyone who worked for Wingwomen in NYC?

I have been researching the possibility of a frachise in Houston, so I am looking for the good the bad the ugly, any comments or thoughts are appreciated.

    their link is http://wingwomen.com

Basically they pay women $30 an hour meet up with guys at social functions and make intros to other ladies.

They have been getting a ton of press. What do you think?

I emailed a girl who posted a "Job Wanted Ad" online to see what she thought and got a scathing "sluts"-laden email back from her.

I was surprised, I thought it seemed like a great job for students, dancers, waitresses, retail, etc. in the evening to make a bit of extra cash.

my only advice is to 'follow the money'. Maybe I should coin the word pimp-ettes.

It would almost certainly end up that the guy will just end up hitting on the wingwoman and trying to take her home. I don't see how this concept would work out well. PLUS, when a man is out with a woman don't most other women think they are together?

I've played wingwoman on numerous occasions. Would've been nice to get paid for it! I gotta agree with Kat though that while in theory it sounds great, it might not work out so well in practice.

It's iffy though. Some guys might want to go for the wingwoman because she seems more confident in making the intital approach, and other guys might be turned off because even though it's the 21st century, they can't handle a chick who makes the first move.

I have played the wing woman on many occasions, too. Hell, i think that is the basis of my relationship with my two best guy friends!

    Had I known I could get paid for it . . .

Well, I did get tons of free drinks and dinners when I was broke!

I placed an ad online this afternoon and have gotten about 4 girls (asking about jobs) and 3 guys wanting more info (about hiring). So I guess I will just see were it goes. Bought a domain name for cheap and did a DBA with my county just in case it goes anywhere.

Thanks for the feedback, I don't have many people here (offline) I can ask. My friends from school all love the idea, though.

I think more than attracting competitive women, a wing-woman ultimately is supposed to attract bi-sexual women for the customer and then pull essentially a bait and switch (the wing woman is the bait). The problem you may end up with is the wing woman pairing up with the quarry.

    Exdancer,
If your franchise takes off, I would be interested in coming in from Austin and trying it out! Heck, I could spend some time with the 'rents and see some of the new downtown bars and clubs while I'm at it. I'm VERY VERY VERY good at meeting women, LOL!

$30 an hour is pretty good for just hanging out, picking up chicks! Keep us informed, I would like to help out!

We called them fluffers. Anyone who gets a guy ready for anything meaning he will spend money (in a sexual way) is what they do. However they mainly use them for guys doing porn.

I have been to a few private clubs, and they had these women flirting and talking sexual, they guys are no doubt turned on, and so off the went to a back room to other women to take over for more money, as i noticed these guys tipped well for the fluffer ladies, seemed they had to be on a salary though.
