Actually, "How To Close Every Sale" was written by Joe Girard, not Zig Ziglar. Zig did write many other good sales books though. The one you might be thinking of is "Secrets of Closing The Sale"

Here's another excellent resource for a newbie......

    http://www.stripper-faq.org/

This site was developed by a former dancer. It has some great articles on getting started, clothes, safety, staying in shape, how to hustle, etc.

Also here is a similar thread on SW.....

here are a few good ones:

the psychology of selling by brian tracy
MAking Faces by kevin aucoin (about makeup--incredibly helpful)
Beauty book by Bobbi Brown (makeup basics--this one totally improved my look)

Get some books on body language - some 70% of what we communicate is in the way we hold/move our bodies.

Learn to mimic "courtship" gestures, thus communcating to potential customers that you are "interested" in them. Any customer who thinks your interest is personal rather than professional is more likely to buy a dance.

Has anybody tried "flirting 101"? I saw it at borders, but didn't buy it.

Actually I had another contribution. Has anyone read "How to make people like you in 90 seconds or less" ? Seems like it would fit into our industry seeing as we have about a few minutues to make a great first impression.
