    De-scenting hair

    All right.

So, I have this really long, thick, wavey hair that absorbs "bar" smell incredibly well. I go straight home from the good ole' strip bar and shower, shampoo and condition, and scrub, but it still smells slightly of cigarettes when I'm through. Seeing as I don't smoke and also have a day job as a dance instructor, I'd like to not show up to the studio the next afternoon smelling like bar.

    Any suggestions?

huh. I guess you could try the old skunk methods:

1 quart (or liter) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, H2O2.
Use fresh (unopened) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Hydrogen peroxide eventually turns into water (H2O).
1/4 cup (50 ml.) of Baking Soda
1 teaspoon (5 ml.) of Liquid Soap

I don't know if that would help, but since skunk smell is stronger than bar, that might be good to do, just not too often unless you have a really good conditioner!

Otherwise, check out some of Burt's Bees products...the rosemary mint shampoo bar? Haven't tried it, but I know that or some other homeopathic remedy has got to help.

    Good luck!

I quick fix I used to do working in Reno..I would rub dryer cloths in my hair ..I would smell like a open meadow in no time.
^^^That also is a great idea I think Ill try that when I have a stinky hair day.

Great idea, sometimes I have to go somewhere when I'm done working before I get a chance to shower, so the dryer sheet idea sounds great.
