    Default Curvy or Athletic?

Wich do you think means more money? I've been told that the key to dancing is low body fat. A lot of the girls I work with are pretty small. I could never get that tiny. I'm 5 feet 8 inches, 145 pounds, and about a size 8. Very hourglass like figure. I've gotten comments on my body, such as curvy, volumptious, Marilyn Monroe like (especially with my pale skin) and plush. Most guys seem to love it.

I know I have to start working out, and eating healthy. Before, I used to lift weights and run seriously. I was about 130 pounds, with an athletic, tight muscular body. The question is, do I want to get that serious again, or just do some light toning up? Walking, yoga, light weight sessions.

Wich body type do you think is in higher demand? I know you can't entirely change everything, like if your petite, your always going to be petite. But I can go from curvy to athletic, since I've done it before. I feel great with both bodies, so there aren't any self esteem issues.

I've heard a lot of girls talk about how they lost weight, but had to gain some back because their income dropped when they got too thin. Or one thicker girl's income who increased because she started working out and got in shape. One of the girl's at my club is very muscular, 4 pack stomach, says she is trying to gain 5 pounds because her muscles can be too intimidating.

What's your body type like? Do you work hard for it, or is it natural? How much do you think it affects your income?

You can be both. I'm five feet tall, muscular and curvy (good genes.)
Men want to see curves. In club lighting, no one sees a little cellulite dimple or a tummy roll.
Everyone has different tastes- one of the top dancers at my home club is as skinny as a rail but very popular. Another top dancer said she was going to stop doing so much pole work because her arms were getting to built up. She is a tiny Asian. I guess you have to figure out what works best for you, what people prefer about your appearance.

I think you can bank with either body. Stay healthy and you're gold.

I think another factor in it is your audience. You probably make more $$ off of the older gentleman that come in (as opposed to college/high school boys). Older men tend to be more forgiving (oblivious?) to slight flaws, curviness, etc. It's always good to be healthy, but look at the men with $$ in your club and see what they prefer. Odds are they're older and their preference is somewhere in between stick-thin and volumptous. I would go with worrying about your health, you'll make money either way.

oh, another factor would be if there's a variety of girls in your club. if 90% of them are 98lb blonds with blue eyes and tans (or any other combanation), then any divation off of that is going to bank just because it's something new/different/exotic.

Healthy is good--either curvy or athletic--healthy being the key aspect, of course.

However, I will say that a girl that is more muscular than I am is not appealing to me (or a lot of guys, for that matter).

    Two cents.

I'm a combination of both.My measurements are 39-26-37 and I am solid.Men want a woman that still looks like a woman, but doesn't look like she'll break in half like a cracker.Solid and curvy, that's the ticket.

Men like beautiful women, period. It depends on how you carry yourself. I have seen the "breakable" type make SO much money. I used to look "breakable" except for in the breast area--I looked like boobs on a stick, naturally. Now I have an extra 9 or 10 lbs. I averaged more when I had the drugged out look, even though I was always cranky. Go figure. I'm betting it's my tummy , which is a lot more, em, rounder now.

You can make good money with either. I'm curvy. I do great with the guys who dont dig pencil thin. Some guys like ultra skinny girls. Most clubs will get a good mixture of customers.

I'm really athletic and naturally thin. The girls love it. The guys tell me to gain some weight. I do okay with my regulars, but they like me curvier.

Just depends on the look. My friend used to make more than me. I was thin and buff at the time, and she was voluptuous like Marilyn Monroe. I've seen those types be top money makers, then a tiny thin girl will be a top money maker. Just depends on the look, and the talk of course.

All types, all types... although some things do tend to go up and down in popularity due to one thing or another (take the J.Lo butt, for example). I say, pay attention to yourself, and try not to worry about it.

I think the most gorgeous girl at our club is between. A little athletic looking, a little not, little pointy breasts, big curvy hips, and a Bettie Page face... so different and gorgeous.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I'm going to just workout (moderatly, a few times a week), get in shape, and see what happens with my body. Healthy and natural, that's what I'll stick with.
