What always works for me when I start to feel bummed and not *in the spirit* at a time when I really cannot afford to have that attitude is to go to another club or an old club for as little as a day or as much as a week or two at a time. Especially if it is a new club this works really well because you don't know any of the girls and you don't know the clientele who are probably different in subtle (or not so subtle) ways from what you have become used to. I find myself getting irritated quite a bit by seeing the same old regulars at my present club who only buy from the same girls and don't want to sample any newer girls and it starts to feel like a chore sometimes just to be there...so go where no one knows you and see how easy it is to get into a totally different hustle approach with the new vibe of the club.

You have probably gotten used to a certain type of hustle and sometimes YOUR approach from the old club will work better on these new guys who are used to the same girls in the club saying the same things over and over. BTW, has anyone else noticed this....house girls who are loyal to a club all sort of have similar hustle modes so that a new girl always sticks out and generally does pretty well until she *settles*? I dunno, maybe it is just here, but I have found this to be true in my own experience..so, anyways, if you have another club in mind, why not try there if only for a little while? And if you still love your present club afterwards, maybe a new technique will rub off on you from the different club. This is what keeps me motivated and I have always made at least more than what a string of shitty nights made me want to leave for when I just take off for a while and try somewhere else!

This is going to sound really weird. What I do is I shut off my brain...it's almost like I become a robot. I put myself into "work mode" and I don't even bother to think about things. The good thing about this "work mode" is that since I am not thinking, it does not bother me when I am rejected or if a guy is being an asshole...so far, at least. This is something new I've been trying...

Girl, I can feel you on that. But you need money and make that your number one priority. Don't get caught up in asshole customers, and bullshit females. Just go do your job and go home. I know it can be hard at times, especially being nice to men that you wouldn't look twice at on the streets. What always helps me is that I dance to my favorite songs so I can keep my mind off being tired. And I think about how much money I wanna make that night, and who will help me get it. Its all about staying energetic and not letting your job take a toll on your health and well being. Maybe should should also try a hobby or something outside of work to keep your mind busy.

Also remember to put on your "personna" You may be tired and cranky but -insert stage name here- isn't. She's a happy, fun girl who's really good at making money! Some days it's harder than others to find her inside yourself, I always find that playing "my songs" before I to work helps me a lot. But honestly, there are some days where she is not there, I just stay home and make up for it another day in the week.

Gosh, I sound like a psychic!!

Good luck! And remember why you started this job in the first place.

I like to set a really good goal, on top of you know, paying bills, save for something you really want or need and let that be your motivation. I like to strive to save for a boob and nose job.

I attended Dancerwealth's teleconference. I have a whole new outlook on stripping. I've learned how to make my environment fun and my money more consistent. Unless I have a big pimple on my nose, I look forward to going to work.

I had been dancing 2.5 months when I took the seminar. I was earning well but I was totally burning out.

Have some "me" time. Go to the spa and enjoy yourself.

The first thing I would suggest for you is to stop thinking of dancing as "work". You need to start thinking of this as a game. It's a game of strategy just like chess. Your customer makes a move and you make a counter-move and so on. Every element of what you're doing is really just a game you need to play and learn to play better. So my advice to you...don't get mad at the game. It's just a game. So rather than go to your club tonight and say, "I just don't feel like working", say, "What fun way can I play the game differently tonight?" Start with those words...just say them out loud in fact while you are on the way to the club. Focus on that and you'll start seeing results.

I leave my personnal life at the door. I become a different person at the club. Kind of like I have 2 sperate personalities. I also found that if I do my make-up at the club, then I can physically see the change.

This rather superfical, but I find that if I am in a bad mood about work, buying a new outfit that makes me feel super-hot always does the trick. Not a long term solution, but if you need a quick fix, this works for me, lol.

I use DW and Jaylin's strategies a lot. Or I go in my box of forgotten outfits and haul out some new ones. Also, try changing your look a litttle or learning a new sales skill or a new pole trick or something. THe mental stimulation of learning something new will help give you a boost!

I listen to a good motivator audio cd like Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill). It does the trick most of the time. Kinda makes you believe you can do anything...makes u wanna seize the day.
