    Default The ladder theory

Is the ladder theory true indication of male and female interaction or is it BS??

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

This screed is amusing but nothing is absolute. (BTW RE: "..the Ladder was first conceptualized in 1994 in Exeter, CA."
My cousins lived in Exeter and it sucks. The author's worldview might have something to do with this.)
From my varied experience of dating poor young guys to middle-aged millionaires in mid-life crisis, my verdict is that men are always looking out for Number One in every facet of life, and women should do the same-"It's a man's world," ergo, approach it as if you are a man. (Clever-like, though, that's why God gave us a little extra brains. We gotta be sneaky-like.)

Ladies, a better yardstick for judgment of your partners: from the 1985 movie "Real Genius":

Val Kilmer (as Chris Knight): (upon meeting a girl he fancies) "So if there's anything I can do for you, or more to the point, to you, just let me know."
Susan:"Can you hammer a six-inch spike through a board with your penis?"
    Chris: "Not right now."
Susan: "A girl's gotta have her standards."

Another thing to watch out for is the code words women use. Here is a translation guide for dealing with women.

Says: I want a man who is motivated and has goals.
Means: I want a rich man

Says: I want a man who knows how to treat a woman.
Means: I want a rich man

Says: He's from a really good family.
Means: He's from a really rich family.
    That's pretty accurate.

They got the Kissinger quote wrong though...so much for their being intellectual.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

"If you read it and went "Hmmm..." and then you went back to doing physics, then you have a case."

That's pretty much my reaction. (though I already aced physics.)

It's rather contradictory, don't you think? First they say that women only want rich men, then they say that we're only interested in tattooed, biker potheads.

    Well, which is it?

Rich, tattooed, biker pothead physicists get the real babes, in my experience.

Yes, ladder theory is most definitely accurate.
Never stand begging for that which you have the power to earn.

The truth lies in a man's dreams... perhaps in this unhappy world of ours whose madness is better than a foolish sanity.

I think that they were saying that women want a rich man, but end up with the biker, pot head, with tattoos.

Re: money- learned quickly that because a man has $$$ doesn't neccessarily mean he will drop it on you. (Dated a Jewish guy, hah!) So I wiggle my a*s for strangers and make enough to live on my own. Without having to babysit a grown man, otherwise known as "a relationship."
PS The "biker/pothead guy": of all the groups of males who have more than enough testosterone to go around, I'd put the Hell's Angels at the top. Hard to resist.

Hmmmm.. Oh my goodness, I didn't participate in this study...
You mean I am not alone?

I wasn't so egocentric I would swear this survey/theory was made for me... Right, Wrong or Indiferent...

    I can be honest!

Married one, and he does, hah!

Of course, he can also hammer a six inch spike through a board with his penis.

Luck's got nothin' to do with it. It was my overarching feminine plan to entrap a man . . . lots of hard work and scheming.

I have a feeling my plan to entrap a man I can keep will require a bear trap and chains. (LOL)
