    Default Tanning and "the patch"

So, as you all know, I quit smoking. But I'm wondering about the patch when I'm going to the tanning salon. Now, I know I cant wear while I'm tanning.

So I went today, (back to my fave place!) and took it off before I put my lotion on; went in for 15 minutes. Got out, got dressed and when I picked up my patch it seemed like the sticker was no longer sticky.

I knew I had to clean my arm before I tried to stick it on again so I went to the bathroom to run some water & soap on it; but my whole arm got wet... now I know you can't shower at least two hours after you tanned. So do you think my arm will get all streaky??

In the end, the patch took a little longer to stick, but i think it's on good and tight now.. we'll see when I go shower...

Any suggestion to make this 10 week long process less of a pain in the ass?

Unless you are using a lotion with a bronzer in it like DHA then you have to wait a while to shower but if you are using a regular acclerator with no bronzer, then you can shower right after you tan no waiting.

You could go tanning in the morning and just put a new patch on after you tan that way you aren't reapplying. I would say if you didn't care about the tan line it would leave just keep it on. Or you could switch it to different parts of your body. Or you could take it off and hope the stickyness will be there when you go and put it back on. Sometimes reapplying the patch then blasting it for a second with a hair dryer to get it to stick a little better.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

Does the patch have to be on your arm for it to work???If not, then try putting it on the back of your neck so you don't have to take it off.Just a shot in the dark suggestion.

OTB, that's what I do; i stick on my back as close as can to my spine and my hair hides it. No one is the wiser. I only put it on my arm when im not working because they you need to switch the spots everytime.

I hide mine under my bra straps or under my dress. I work in a lingerie club, though. If you are jsut coming form the salon, you can tuck it into your bra strap to keep it in contact with your skin until you can shower.

I also bought a role of 3-M transpore tape for emergencies. It is hard to get the adhesive off, but it does stick!
