Default When did you make it, $$$- Wise?

Was wondering about the ones of you who have attained wealth or achieved financial goals- what or when were the moments when you realized all your hard work had paid off, and you felt good about yourself?
I remember how happy I was when I paid off my car. It was the first thing I had ever bought and paid for all by myself. I was laughing and dancing around. I hope to feel that good about future achievements!

Honestly, my first week as a dancer, and I could pay rent. I was living on virtually zero dollars, couldn't pay rent, or even buy food for over a month. I cried a long time when I came home, counted out my money and realized what I had, from just one night. It was such a relief.

But I definitly look forward to paying off my car! And other, more substantial financial goals.

I want a house as a higher financial goal in mind, but initially I wanted enough money to support myself through college, and live completely independently. I'm still making it in small $$$ ways, like the time I had the cash to buy my computer, or every time I've gone on a working holiday and yet been able to afford small vacation splurges. working and travelling, like in "Strip City" is definitely very empowering. I hope to continue building bigger and better $$$ goals that continually reaffirm that I've "made it" ; )

I actually bought a piece of propery with a garage and lived in that for a year before I could set a mobil in place ( that was a moment for me ) 8yrs later I sold it and made a 15k profit not bad for what it was . I took that money and bought a home for 130 k ,with the money I had had in my 401 k ( which I could barrow and pay myself back with 7percent interest ) I made a couple of home improvments swimming pool and a huge garage addition ( 2350 sqft ) another moment in life when you say this is good .Now I am 7yrs away from the mortgage being all over . This is a good feeling and with my 401 k from my work which I will not touch until I must 62 yrs old, life is good . As you know I got away from a job that was creating much anxiety for me but now that I am away from it I feel better I know I can make money many different ways . Now I am seriously thinking about moving to Mexico in a place if not rite on the beach within in a stones throw .I am almost certain I could get 400k for my house now so I will invest that money after paying balance owed around 130k buy a place and bank the cash.Life should not be all about work do set up some goals and stick to them and yes you will have some setbacks everyone does .I had to write this quickly everyone is running around the house they cant get the coffee going so I must go help .

Hmmm... well, let's see - would probably be about a month or so after we'd moved into house that we'd had custom built on an oversize corner lot in the particular subdivision that we'd finally decided we wanted to build in, as by that time all the new furniture had arrived, the drapes, etc., had been installed, the boat had been moved to new pad especially built for it in far corner of back yard, and the "tug-of-war" over the vehicles had finally come to an end as each of us now had a fairly new SUV (i.e., < 1 year old) that we were happy with and had actually decided was what we wanted (as opposed to were willing to settle for) to drive.

However, as the old saying goes, "easy come, easy go...," as it lasted all of oh, about 3 months or so....

When I paid cash for my house. It's just a little house, but it's on a couple acres, and that was important to me. I was working out of town for the week after I bought it, got back into town... walked into my place... and thought wow, I have no debt. I could hole up in this little house and never have to make hardly any money if I wanted.

Of course that didn't last... *sigh*
