Default End of the Lap Dance in Nashvegas?

Bah! Even though I left Nashvegas a month ago, I still read the online newspaper there. Looks like a judge is going to allow the gubmint to enforce a 3-foot minimum distance rule that has been on hold since 1997.

Well there's a 6 foot rule here in Tampa and people still do lap dances.

As Bunny points out, lots of cities with stupid anti-dance club ordinances are really only after headlines and fine money. It usually turns into a revolving door, where dancers have to break the ordinance nightly in order to earn any money, where dancers are busted every few months, where the politicians and cops get their headlines, but where the only real harm done is that the dancer cops a plea in court, pays a fine (or the club pays it for her), and goes back to business as usual the next night. The only permanent negative is that the dancers wind up accumulating a list of misdemeanor charges on their record, which can hurt if the city ever adopts dancer's licensing (or she moves to a city that already requires dancer's licensing) and which can be a major obstacle if and when the dancer retires and tries to land a 'straight' job.
