    Default Request for advice.

I've had a desire to work as an exotic dancer for over a year now. I've recently turned 20.

At first, I thought it was just a phase; I convinced myself the desire would pass.

Well, it hasn't. If anything, waiting has only stoked the desire and I *need* to finally do this. At least once.

Sure, like all fresh girls I'm experiencing some trepidation about my first public dance, but I refuse to allow this initial trepidation to deter me.

There is a stripclub I frequent often and would love to start there. It is very clean, upscale & I'm told is owned & operated by a good family. The clientele is friendly & respectful from what I can tell when I'm there. More importantly, I feel safe there.

How do I do this, ladies?

Should I just show up, request to speak to a manager, inquire about the "house rules" & fee, then schedule an audition from there? Or should I be prepared to audition right then & there?

    What are your thoughts?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Id say bring your audition clothes in the car...go in ...ask for the hiring manager and see from there. If you do see him then say youd like to start as a dance...just like that. Hopefully there are hiring and he will either put you on schedule or ask you to auditon. All clubs are different on their hiring practices.
If/when you do audition move slow and before the stage the DJ will help you pick 2 songs for you to dance to. Bring some ID saying you are of age to dance...very important. After you get hired they should explain the rules to you..tip outs on what not. After that youre on your own...no one will teach you how to give a dance unless you encounter a nice girl. No one will teach you how to hustle ....something that took me forever to learn and Im youre age started at 18 took 2 years off....back yesterday...and my hutlsing is shaky but it worked well yesterday.
Confidence is key in this business. Even if you have a lump in your hair ...you forgot your lipstick or your having cramps....fake it!! Fake being happy and look like youre enjoying the stage and yourself even if none of those feelings are true someone will p/u on your smile.
Last piece of advice look into the crowd and smile as you dance on stage...smile everywhere! Good Luck..let us know how it goes.

Tm Pretty Well Nailed That One. Another Word Of Advice. Never Get Too Close To The Other Dancers. Depending On The Club (and You Will Know As Soon As You Enter That Dressing Room) Who Will Be Helpful. At Larger Clubs You Are On Your Own Because Any Advice Given Can Hurt The Advisors Money. Watch Others Hustle, Watch What Kind Of Men She Is Hustling. Always Be Polite Even If The Others Dancers Aren't Polite To You Because In The End They Can Have No Complaints About You. Good Luck!

Actually BEFORE you do anything ask if they have specific days when they are hiring, many clubs hire whenever a dancer walks in BEFORE they are open, that way they can decide if they will put you on stage that night before they get customers in.
A few clubs acutally have a hiring manager that only hires a few days a week.
You can try to skip that by telling them on the phone what day you plan to come in, this way you sound confident in getting the job and are letting them know you are available to work right away.
I usually call ahead just to make sure I can start that night if they like me. Plus, some clubs take a look at you and then you are hired.
BUT just to be on the safe side call ahead (no need to make a wasted trip!)

Oh, and DO NOT come in without your full dancer face on, dress sexy, not timid. I had a friend that went in looking like her age (19) and they said she should come back when she had some experience. The little girl look does work at some clubs, but not when they are deciding whether or not hire you. So if you have a fave. club outfit that shows off your assets wear and strut it!

TM gives great advice. ALSO-Don't forget to bring your adult entertainment license with you to the audition!! That is if your city requires you to have one. Many clubs will not hire you unless you have one.
