    Right wing excuses and apologist...

It's my damn worker's fault! They're to damn expensive!

Or... dare I say it... capitalism is starting to crumble? How these companies winning the marketplace come from highly socialist countries - and Japan, a country that believes in it's employees, not so much the bottom line.

We can go on about their taxes and the like - but unlike America, they are actually getting something for it.

The proof is in their taking the marketplace. If they want to "level the field" - then maybe the answer, instead of lowering american's living standard, is more socialization.

Medical care is too expensive. No doubt about it. There's a number of reasons for it, but the fault lies at every level, from producer to consumer to regulator to technology provider.

As anyone who reads poo knows, I am an uber capitalist pig, but GM is getting what it deserves for stupidity over decades. Every labor contract has two parties signing and management doing stupid things and agreeing to what they cannot afford will kill you in the long run. Same for the steel companies and the airlines. They screwed up for the benefit of next year and killed themselves.

The government ala the Pension benefit guaranty corporation (PBGC) should not bail them out (either side). They deserve the hole they dug for themselves. The remaining assets should be sold off (to pay any unfunded liabilities) to more competent managers, but guess what, the new wages wont be as high so no Michigan AG is going to sue them to fully fund.

GM is no different than the unfunded and unbooked liability for SSecurity and the 25 yearold generation is going to get stuck with the tab.

Disclosure. I am legally due a pension of $509/month by a steel company starting in 2017. I will get it even if they go broke under current law (and they have a better than even chance of doing so).
