    ? about Bare Minerals (again!)

For those of you that use Bare Minerals, do you ever blend your foundation? I've found that the Medium Beige is a tad too light and the Medium Tan is a tad too dark. I was blending the two but now my med beige is all gone and I have a full med tan. Rather than buy another whole container of the beige, what else could I blend it with? Would the bisque work? Should I just try blending with mineral veil?

On the other hand, I wonder if it would work if I blended warmth with the color that is too light. Has anybody tried this? What sort of results did you get?

oh, one more thing. I tried blending the bare minerals with my face lotion one day and applied that as a "liquid" foundation. It looked a little too "masky" for daytime but could be kinda cool for night or the club. It provided a LOT of coverage.

yep I mix the foundations to get a better coverage. I personally use bisque as a foundation. Mineral veil seems just to cover like a colorless powder. I use warmth very little it tends to be too bronzy it you use to much, but hey try mixing it with the light color.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

well, I just ordered a new med tan, summer bisque (this will be my first time trying the bisque) and mineral veil. I didn't really want to spend the extra $ for the beige as well. If you use the bisque as a foundation it sounds reasonable that it would work to lighten up the med tan.

slightly off topic but I want to try to make my own mineral makeup after I take o chem. strictly for shits and giggles.

If anybody has any other tips for mineral makeup, please share.

Making mineral makeup is no biggie- this is a product supplier near my place, and I'm sure there's one near you:http://www.oshun.ca/Merchant2/mercha...tegory_Code=PC

You pretty much just need equal volumes of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, and then mix in different iron oxides or micas for color.

Mineral makeup is awesome. I haven't used the specific brand you're talking about, but I've used Pur, Aromaleigh and a bunch of the eBay brands, and find that they're all pretty much equal in quality, except some are way cheaper! The one I particularly like, and which i find to be a better deal than making my own even, is everydayminerals on eBay (and no it's not me or anyone I know!)

I prefer the stuff for nightime, but I have mixed in a little Mineral Veil to lighten things up. Warmth is too intense to really blend with anything, especially if you're somewhat pale like me. A little Warmth goes a LONG way!

update: well I successfully blended the summer bisque with my medium tan to lighten it up.

Also, I just received in the mail today my everydayminerals mineral veil. It seems comparable to BE to me and for 1/2 the price. If you're interested in checking out this sellers products here is their ebay store:

    I ordered this stuff:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...583998642&rd=1

Its pretty good except the blush is too light, and the brush that came with it sucks.

So I just use bronzer as the blush and bought my own foundation blush made by Perfection.
