Re: Tdy
I've been there with my first marriage hon. It's not easy especially at first.. But it does get better. How long is he gone for?
Just keep yourself super busy, and the time will fly by. Before you know it, he'll be home again.

Re: Tdy
He tends to go on short ones. This time is 2-3 months. It's not that long, but it's still not easy. I plan on staying as busy as possible.
Thanks for the "HUG"

Re: Tdy
A lot of my servicemen guy friends are scattered all over the globe. Some suggestions: e-mail often, write long letters (paper mail is very appreciated, especially in war zones) call when able, even if you have to make time & go out of your way to do all this. I know a lot of those guys obesess over whether their girl back home is stepping out with other guys, so I often tell them all about what keeps me busy and truthfully the lack of action I'm getting (hah.)
They need to know that they're not forgotten..........

Re: Tdy
PM Me.. I'm a TDY widow for the next, well, I have no idea... its suppose to be only six months.. but it could go longer...
I'm very independent, I do fine on my own. This is our first TDY as well. I found a support forum for military spouses. Of course, I don't have it on my lap top (which is where I am typing from currently)... but PM me.
I miss my boy!

Re: Tdy
Hey I'm a NAVY wife...I've been in your shoes hun...thinking about it makes me cry still. If you wanna talk PM me...
If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing
