    Carpeted Stages?

How many girls out there have danced on fully carpeted stages??

I was a t a club just the other night, and I noticed that not only did the stage have no pole, but the stage was also a full on shag rug. The girls all looked like they were having a very hard time keeping balance. Especially the ones that (like me) wear 9" heels

    Any thoughts?

Pacer's in San Diego has a carpeted stage, but at least they have a pole.It is a little tricky at first.

I've worked on a stage that had carpet - it sucked. No more floor work for me and it was hard to get use to because my heel kept getting stuck in the carpet.

The best stage I ever worked on was in Hawaii Theater in the City of industry. The stage was wood, sanded down and lacquered and we all most went barefoot. On stage. It was awesome.

PBCF, I know you're talking about LG's. It's not difficult to balance because of the carpet. It's difficult to balance because the wooden stage beneath the carpet is severely fucking warped.

Have you danced on that stage before? How big is it really when you're up there, because from the audience, it looks like there's some real space to work with. I figured the reason that the girls really didn't use it was because they found it rough to walk or crawl around on.

I hate it when wood flooring is warped under carpet. My mom+dad's lod place had floors like that, I used to trip all the time (barefoot)

Ugh, carpeted stages- such a bad idea! I'm so lost when confronted with one. A couple of our dive bars around BC have them- usually complete with water stains and other unidentifiable markings. The Whitehouse in NZ has a carpeted stage & runway- perilous!
