    Default "classy" music? Help!

I have a new outfit that I am trying out this upcoming weekend, and need some music idea's to fit the new look. And thanks to everyone who replied to the other thread with the R&B suggestions. I tried a bunch of them this weekend and they went over great.

My new outfit is a black push up bra, a black gv-string from Victoria's Secret with rhinestones that "cascade" over the cheeks, black satin elbow length gloves, rhinestone stud earrings, and a thick rhinestone cuff bracelet. Complete with red lipstick and black thigh highs. It's HOT. But sexy, almost "classy". Kind of like the stripper version of Audrey Hepburns little black dress "Breakfast at Tiffany's" look.

Anways, I need some music. I know I want to dance to "Diamond's are a girl's best friend". What version of it, and also what other songs would go well?

There's a great version of " Diamonds are a girls best Friend " from the Moulon Rouge soundtrack that I use ALL the time - also look into some Blues music like Eric Clapton or the like.

The outfit you describe sounds very much like The glam gowns a torch singer would use. Billy Holiday too - good luck I hope it goes well and you make tons!

Great ideas! I love Billie Holiday, but had never thought about dancing to her.

as cheesy as this may sound but it works great and i have done this set for one of the girls at the club i work at but...kenny g's songbird followed by David Stewart and Candy Dulfer's Lilly was Here. Both songs have a smooth suductive jazz sound to them.

How about the song from that movie The fabulus baker brothers.
    I think thats the soundtrack.
    the song is "Makin Woopie"
Its sung by that actress, whats her name that laid all over the piano when she sang it.

Its slow, but i have used it for girls before and if done right, its a great great music.

Perfect for burly-esque,sexy, stage stuff, perfect to sing along to,but real real slow at points.

Will really kill the tempo of a room so its best used for a feature show and not in the middle of a fri night.<G>

Perhaps try some smooth, sexy blues stuff; that will fit in a lot more easily with a rock format in a club.

Also, as mentioned previously in another thread about the remix of Sarah Vaughan's "Fever", you might want to check out the Verve Remixed series. There's 3 of them, and they have groovy mixes of Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, etc that might work a little better than some of the original versions. (Also, don't let "remix" frighten you off, most of them aren't really super clubby, more along a smooth trip-hoppy mellow groove thing.)

Frank Sinatra, "Witchcraft." I love to do the 50's retro look, and sometimes I will play this song. Last time, I paired it with Marilyn Manson! I'm strange like that.

Frank Sinatra - Luck Be A Lady

Marilyn Monroe - Diamonds Are a Girls' Best Friend [Swing Cats Remix]

Either Sinatra or Tony Bennett (both do good versions) - The Best Is Yet To Come

Amy Irving's - Why Dont You Do Right (Amy's version was the one used for Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit)
