You are correct, we all are for the most part mixed in some ethnic background..but how many "white" americans will admit to there non-european heritage...LOL not many.

And yes, people do treat me different BECAUSE OF THE WAY I LOOK. I am an African-American mixed, MUSLIM GIRL in CONSERVATIVE ASS OHIO! Yes I have received my fair share of looks from people, and I have been treated unfairly because of it.

I mean CuriousJ, dont' sit here and try to make it seem like we arne't including different races. Most of the people who "approve" of profiling middle easterners are conservative individuals...who thus are mostly white males. Dont' need a graph/chart to figure those numbers out.

But the point in this discussion is PROFILING MUSLIMS! It's DISCRIMINATION..PERIOD! Did you even read my post? There have been plenty of people in this country throughout it's existance who felt that keeping a certain person of color "IN HIS PLACE" was necessary.

Profiling is Profiling...Plane and f'king simple. DO NOT sit here and say, "oh yea I believe in profiling muslims" when you really mean to say "all people from Iraq, the Sudan, Egypt, etc.

Tell me something..if you board a plane alot of you have said that you would look twice at the muslim...did you ever stop to think that ALL MUSLIMS are not "brown people" There is a such thing as the white skinned, blond haired, blue eyed muslim. And trust me, he passes you everyday...

I pretty much look twice at everyone I think I am more concerned about sitting next to the crying child or the fat guy . How many Arab owned planes have you flown on ? I have been on a few funny thing they were looking at me funny . I really do appreciate what you are saying and I am trying to understand how you feel but I have no hatred for anyone just based on there religion or ethnic background really, I am really kind of frustrated with the whole human race at times . I am not a hater

    yes...it's discrimination...
why do some people still have to fight to get the same opportunities that are given to others?

    reclusiveness...is a good thing.

Just like you believe "its not a bad thing..it's commen sense" Thats the same ideals that people in the <1965 era had against blacks in the south! Just because someone doesn't look the way you or your wife, your friends and neighbors look does NOT mean that they should be denied fair treatment.

The USA was created to give all people the right to worship to treat all people EQUALLY!!!!

    Discrimination is DISCRIMINATION PERIOD!!!
If you recall, the WTC was destroyed by a group of men who hijacked a plane. ALL of them fit the abovementioned profile. Looking a little closer at them when they pass security checkpoints isn't racism, it's common sense.

If that plane were hijacked by 55 - 85 year old asian women, you could bet your ass we'd be profiling them. But little old asian women didn't hijack a plane and murder 3,000 people - 18-40yo arab men did.

Would you rather we not profile groups known to be a security risk, so that we may be "fair", and suffer another major terrorist attack?
