Default Ignoring the warnings...on purpose ?

Bush was givenwarnings about the 9/11 attacks months before hand and made the CHOICE to ignore it, completely. The Information was presented to him by the CIA on Aug. 6, 2001. but was flatly and IMHO purposly ignored.

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7658468/site/newsweek

and then after 9/11 he changed ( lied about) intelligence info to gain support for the pre 9/11planned war
    http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/pol...p?story=634702

Sure make Clintons BJ look like childs play......One man lied about oral sex the other allowed (wanted imho) thousands of people to die on 9/11 followed by engaging in warfare that has leveled two countries (so far) and killed hundreds of thousands of people ( so far) and there is no end in sight to the mass murdering.

It is interesting to note that it took Saddam 10 years to kill 250 thousand but took Bush only 3 years to kill 100,000 + ......before all is said and done I predict Bush will have ordered the death of more people than Saddam ever did

And some people are surprised that the US military can't make it's recuitment quotas now...... Hmm, it might have something to do with the fact that people who were fooled by the shock and awe lies are getting wise to what has really been going on and why (desire for world domination and control of the oil)

the only prudent way to treat Islamics in the US and western europe today is along the same vein as Russians and Eastern Europeans were treated during the 'cold war' days - with some degree of suspicion warranted until proven otherwise !

I don't agree with most of your political posts, but you're full of fire, and that's so hot.

Hello~Kitty, Politcal Poo attracts a larger percentage of conservative members than the other sections. Keep in mind that 51% of white males love Bush and love the fact that he protects "his own".

The Bush family and their cronies are the biggest crooks alive, and everything that they are trying to accomplish through this administration is premeditated, and done through the guise of "moral values".

I have read many of the indescretions of Bush and his people, and any fool should be able to see through them.

In conjunction with one of your other posts, more and more status quo people are slowly seeing that the push for biblical law in this country by the Christian Conservative Republican Party is more than they bargained for.

Once it seems enough status quo people will approve, some monied liberal minded leaders will launch a huge attack against these greedy big business oriented, religious freak Republicans.

I gotta hand it to those conservatives. They know how to bullshit the average smoe into believing they are trying to restore the morals of this country, while taking away their jobs, and only passing laws that fatten the pockets of big business conservatives, and included in the group of pockets to fatten is the church. Bush and his cronies laugh behind closed doors at how gullible the people who voted for him really are.

Conservatives were too busy questioning the objectives of Michael Moore regarding his Farenheit 911 movie, instead of spending the time investigating the facts he brought to the public eye in the movie. As the old saying goes "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink".

I am mad at the Democrats for not being more forthright in their attack on the Conservative party's agenda. They are aware of the oppositions dirty tricks and do little to expose them.

Ok, one of my rare expeditions into the Poo...

First off, I tend to be a believer in "cock-up", not conspiricy. It's easy to go back after the event and select the pieces of evidence that conform that there was foreknowledge. Doing it in real time is far more difficult.

Take the example of Pearl Harbour. This is one of the most studied events in American history, and most of the information relating to the attack is in the public domain. (Some of the UK decrypts of JN25 messages aren't, but I doubt there's a smoking gun there.

See "At Dawn We Slept" by Gordon W. Prange for an excellent and highly detailed account of the attack - he spent 37 years researching it.

The conclusion he came to was that there was indeed sufficient information to suggest an attack on Pearl Harbour was a distinct possibility, but that human error prevented the information from being properly analysed.

The 1% of information that gave accurate information about the attack was buried in the 99% of intelligence data that gave false or misleading infomation - the so called signal to noise ratio. Unfortunately, the noise overcame the signal. It was only after the event that intelligence analysts were able to isolate the pertinent intelligence information.

I suspect this will prove to be the case for 9/11 when full infomation becomes available - that there were a number of indications that an attack was being planned, but that this infomation was buried in a blizzard of contradictory and incorrect data - that there was cock-up and not conspiricy.

Or to put it another way - it's easy to be wise after the event.

Excellent point Phil! People seem to forget that just because we have all this high-tech equipment, that doesn't mean the government knows everything that is going on. Collecting all the information is easy, making sense of it is the tricky part. In fact, on 9/11 the government was woefully understaffed in people who could even speak arabic and translate all this information into english for analysts to review.

and despite being woefully understaffed on Arabic translators Bush continues to allow and support getting rid of the homosexual ones...apparently national security is not as important to his administration as discrimination of homosexuals.

And while it is true that hindsight is 20/20 there are indications that he was intentionaly neglectful in his duites and decision making process.

There have been reports of pressure all the way down the line for intelligence to ignore anything that did not support a "War Agenda" ....Bush/Cheney apparently did not WANT to see anything that might be contrary to thier desire to engage in warfare.... which resulted in padding their own personal bank accounts and many of their main supporters.

Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Wolferitz CHOSE to consider ONLY information that supported their agenda of war with with Iraq....Powell attempted to add some reality to the situation but was silenced.

He does? Well that doesn't seem wise. Could you provide some evidence of that? I'd like to write my congressman and complain.

CNN Wolf Blitzer Reports: Army Fires Gay Linguists

Nine soldiers being trained as translators at a military-run language school have been discharged for being gay despite a shortage of linguists for the US war against terror, officials and rights activists said Friday.

They included six who were being trained as Arabic speakers, two in Korean and another in Chinese, he said. "All the servicemembers had stellar service records and wanted to continue doing the important jobs they held, but they were fired because of their sexual orientation

All nine translators received discharge papers stating that the reason for their dismissal was their sexuality.

(AP) Nine Army linguists, including six trained to speak Arabic, have been dismissed from the military because they are gay.

Six were specializing in Arabic, two were studying Korean and one was studying Mandarin Chinese. All were at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, the military's primary language training center.

and as of the end of 2003 the number of Arabic translators fired for being gay rose to nearly 40

The military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy has led the Pentagon to fire 37 Arabic translators at a time when the military needed them more than ever
