Default stay put or move for a few months?

I'm in Detroit and I'm not sure how the money is gonna be here. I have a free summer. Do you think it is worth it to move to another state for the summer? this would require driving cross country alone...which is pretty much the only drawback...

There are alot of cities where girls are doing well, especially on the east coast.

Be careful on the road, being alone out there sucks. If you can take a friend or another dancer friend,it is always safer traveling in packs.

Best of luck, lemmie know if your ever driving thru Va,NC,AK,or Fl,maybe i can help.

Hmmmm well i never danced in Detroit...I have danced in other cities so I know that there is money to be made in other cities. Have you done a road trip through the cities that you mentioned? What city do you work in now? It would take me about three days to move - but then id have to come back so that would be three more days. If the difference in money was huge, perhaps it would be worth it.

I have done road trips as a dancer before, probably before you were born!lolol
Im a dj now for a chain,im at one of the Papermoons in Richmond Va,the other cities are where they have other clubs.
If you go thru,i can give you the names and address, club managers, and tell you the safe sides of town to stay on etc.Im afraid thats about all i can do.

As for the money, its impossible for me to say.
I dont know what your used to,or how your hustle is,etc.
According to my tipout to the dj,most of our top girls average 500-1000 a night.
Our newer girls average about 200-500.
It all depends on the entertainer and her hustle.

Why do you want to leave Detroit? Why do you feel the business will be slow?

I work on the road and am a master at traveling.

Number one, research clubs and areas you want to go to first. Many clubs won't hire you when you get to town. It's best to find a city you have researched, find out the hiring/audition times, drive there, get an extended stay room at a weekly rate, and then look for work. It may take several days to get hired.

Or you can work prearranged bookings. Small towns in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North and South Dakota, and Montana book girls 3-7 weeks in advance to work Mon-Sat. You can contact these clubs and make back to back weekly bookings for 6-8 weeks in a row and that way you are guaranteed a place to work and eliminate downtime. Look under club reviews for clubs in those states that book and if they have websites e-mail your photos, if not call the clubs, get a contact persons name and mail a picture.

Don't think you can just drive from city to city to work. You'll go broke quickly that way. Going alone gives you more flexibility as friends tend to flake out on you, or a club may have room for one girl but not the other. When I travel I drive until I get to a place. Once you've driven somewhere once, you'll know all the ropes.

Check to see what states and cities have the strongest economies and employment rates. People who live in economically booming cities have more disposable income and are more likely to blow it on dancers.
