Exclamation :HELP: Themed Set song suggestions

At the moment, I'm compiling CDs for my "Dorothy - Wizard of Oz" show and a couple of different "School Girl" shows (since I have three different School Girl outfits).

Here's the way I'm planning to work it.

10 min (3 song) set - the first song is "themed" the second two are more the horny, sexy, fun, playful songs.

15 mins (4-5 songs) set - the first two songs are themed, the last two-three are horny/sexy/playful/fun songs.

20 mins (5-6 songs) set - the first three songs are themed, the last two-three are horny/sexy/playful/fun songs.

    Any suggestions are welcome !

PS If you want to share samples of music with me, I'm on 'invisible' mode on Yahoo Messenger with the Yahoo ID vee_gc .... just request me to add you. You'll know I'm online as I would've accepted you - give me a msg and if I don't respond within the span of 2 minutes I'm not online or have my computer on at that moment.

There's a techno remake of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" by Cosmic Gate. It's quite fast, except for the lush vocally/strings type bits with the actual chorus, so you may not like it. BUT! Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Me First and The Gimme Gimme's do a punk version of "over the rainbow". "Ease on down the road" from the Wiz is great too.

The Cosmic Gate song is actually not that bad as it has fast and slow bits... it will keep everyone awake as such. I also found a sound bite (movie quote) from the Yellow Brick road part of the movie with the munchkins... got that at the start.

So far I have a 10 min show using the Cosmic Gate song. Now all I have to do is a 15 min and a 20 min 'Dorothy' music mix.

I'll check out your suggestions Susan

Keep them coming! Especially anything in regards to School Girl as well.

Spinal Tap- "Bitch School" was a cool and funny video that featured ... well schoolgirls vamping it up.

Twisted Sister-"Be Crool To Your School"

MC5-"Highschool" comes complete with Ra Rah chorus.

    The Knack-"Good Girls Don't,But I Do"

You could easily be a school girl for any of the aforementioned songs and have fun with it.Plus these songs aren't played out in the SC's.

If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing

Isnt that from HBO's taxi cab confessions??
They also use willie nelsons version of somewhere over the rainbow for some.

    Most impressive suggestion!

    Specially for a PP gal.

    school girly suggestions:
Police- "dont stand so close to me"
"good mornin' lil schoolgirl" ( LOVE this one!) done by eric clapton, grateful dead, van morrison, jonny lang, huey lewis and the news, and rod stewart... so pick your fave (i do the jonny lang)
    Van Halen- "hot for teacher"

i know i'll think of more... in fact i heard one awhile back on "house of hair"... something about "girls' school"... been trying to track it down... i LOVE the deep cuts and more obscure hair rock Dee comes up with!!! (AH!... found it... Paul McCartney "girls' school"... might have been a remake....)

in fact, anybody with some obscure "old school" rock with great "strip club" lyrics... send it my way?

as far as the wizard of oz theme....
    hummmm....
soundtrack album The Wizard of Oz in Concert: Dreams Do Come True; performed by Jackson Browne?

found another school girl song... backstreet boys "catholic school girls rule" dont know what it sounds like (not my genre) but the lyrics kick ass
britney fox "girls school" once again, not my kinda music but worth a listen?
Red Hot Chili Peppers "Catholic School Girls Rule" hummm.... i MUST check this one out!! (how did i miss it?)

PHEW!... im done for awhile! (but i have new music to download! *giggles*)

Others who have covered "Good Morning Little School Girl"

Johnny Winter-There's a couple studio versions out.A kick ass live version on his. "Johnny Winter And -Live" album/C. D.

Ten Years After-On their album "Ssssh".Singer/guitarist Alvin Lee sings the lyrics "I wanna ball you all" rather than "I wanna call you" lol

Chuck Berry- "School Days" is another song that fits the subject theme.
    Hanoi Rocks-"Highschool"

Impellitteri- "Somehere Over The Rainbow" an all instrumental version that is done ala heavy metal.
Frank Marino And Mahogany Rush-"Somewhere Over The Rainbow"
