    Default Insomnia

I already know my personal biggest issue - and that is that ever since I was a baby (seriously) I have hated to miss anything. I love it when the world is asleep...and there is just me and a couple of people. I do enjoy sleep when I'm tired....but unless I'm falling down exhausted...I want to experience the night life.

    Unfortunately....everyone else is sleeping!

30 Simple Tips for Getting to Sleep, including some we're quite sure you've never seen before.

People all over the world have thanked us for making these available, particularly at no charge.

They're all designed to help you deal with tension, stress and anxiety, and to enjoy a good night's sleep.

Not every one of these techniques alone will get you to sleep, but a few of them at least should prove successful. Needless to say, there's no guarantee, and no attempt to provide medical advice.

With that caveat out of the way, we can only wish you good luck. And a good night's sleep.

Techniques you've probably already tried but are still worth trying again.

Of course there's the standard technique that everyone knows (although it never worked for us)

And some techniques you probably haven't seen before

"The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind."

"Sir, if you were my husband, I would poison your drink."
    -Lady Astor to Winston Churchill
"Madam, if you were my wife, I would drink it."
    -His reply

"If God had intended us to drink beer, He would have given us stomachs."

The world never goes to sleep, that's a problem with the the Internet - it's always buzzing somewhere.

I find that an amorous partner is the best way to induce sleep.

(but then she kicks me awake) j/k

Thank MoJo, I'm having the problem of getting up at 5am. Every day, and can't go back to sleep. I don't normally have to get up until 8:45 on workdays, so this sucks. I got three hours of sleep yesterday and five today.

I just actively don't recommend some of the food/drink ones - stuff like that gives me energy, so I'm ready to do something..

TigersMilk, the deep breathing/relaxation stuff will help with that, you practice focusing on something really boring and repetitive and don't get a chance for interesting/anxious thoughts.
