    Exclamation Sailor Costume shoe help...

I want to get this costume for the next time my club has costume night (second friday of every month) There are TONS of sailors in my area due to the TWO bases near here. So I thought it would be cute to play that up for them...

Anyway, aside from a real sailor hat (from the base store) and some cute jewelry...

What kind of shoes would look the best with this?

Boots? Thigh high or knee high?

Maybe Black shoes with white knee highs...

I don't know, please gimme a few suggestions (pictures would be THE BEST!)

Maybe try some shoes that have the "mary jane" look to them. that would be cute. my favorite sites for shoes are www.pinupgirlclothing.com and www.forplaycatalog.com they both have cute shoes at reasonable prices. hope this helps you out. good luck!!!

Seems like something like these would be the closest thing for a dancer to "Army Boots"

If you're going to do the white fishnets- do white (maybe with red shoelaces?) or red knee high boots. If you don't, do the knee high sock with either slip on white heels, or regular white heels. Then you could take a little red bow and glue them onto the the part that goes over the foot-- the red would bring out the sailor's tie.

I've had a sailor costume from my days playing around for the guys at Fleet Week in NYC. I'm not too far from the port and the airforce base, but not many sailors head for my area... cept the British sailors. They love our club for some reason. I use a navy blue sailor shirt, that I've modified, white micro shorts, a real Dixie Cup, and either white knee high boots or white standard heels (with a white heel, not the clear ones). When I used to do the complete white uniform, I used black shoes to mimic the actual uniform.

As in the officer's coat? Yummy. I've been trying to get my hands on a Marine's dress blues coat for eons. And an Officer's hat.

But I may just go cheapo and get this or this instead.

WoW! @ Verfolung- Thank you SUPER much for all the links, but I already had chosen which outfit to get. I appreciate all you sleuthing on my behalf though...

I'm still trying to decide what shoes would work best. I've heard a lot about white knee high boots...what about black ones? I prefer a stiletto heel...oh, maybe I should just buy a pair of each!!

P.S. Velvet- we would be SO hot as sailors, I could do the enlisted type and you could go officer?!?!

I'd say black boots...more authentic (not that the costume is exactly authentic, lol). Plus white boots may give a kind of sailor moon/spice girls/cartoonish not-sexy look.

No problem Heaven777, wasn't sure if your outfit decision was finalized or not, so thought I might throw out some additional options. Those burlesque inspired ones are pretty sassy! Anyway, have fun and best of luck.

PS: When you do decide on a pair of shoes, if you order them fron snaz75.com don't forget to use the promotional code "STRIPPERWEB" for a 10% discount!
