I'm living and working in New York. You can get a tourist visa for 3 months, afterwards, you can sometimes extend it for an additional 3 months if you submit the proper paperwork. There are many clubs to work in New York City: Lace, VIP, Private Eyes, Scores, Penthouse, Hustler, New York Dolls and Flashdancers. Many of the girls are living outside the city, in Brooklyn, it's less expensive. Any more questions, please feel free to send me an email. Good luck.

Just a thought.... why not go to Scotland or Ireland for work? You're taking a pay cut going to the USA to work due to the conversion of USD to GBP (Pounds). I've been told Scotland is decent. You are right about London... otherwise, even look into the strip pub scene due to the clubs in London not being that great.

Don't rule out your own home country or those next door for possible work... unless you have already done this....

I hear that Ireland take 50% of the girls' money. However, that being said, Irish customers are normally very decent spenders. They can tip very well too and I think, if you have the VIP facilities, it would be easier to persuade them to do a sit-down. Not only that but the euro is stronger than the US dollar. It may be worthwhile looking into. I am think of Ireland too, but I want to travel parts of mainland Europe and Scandinavia first.

Thank you all for your advice. I am coming to NYC to experience a new life and dance to earn some $$. I'm not too fussed about earning alot, but in London I am earning around £700-£1000 a week (working 3-4 nights a wk), as long as I dont make too much less thats fine by me....got a british accent so who knows it may help!!! More importantly I'm looking for a change in scenary and I guess it'll be a fun thing to do. I'd like to meet some americans, party and live life. Its just a temporary thing, I'll prob stay from July-Nov. I'm not great at doing any fab pole tricks, is that req'mt? What are the auditions like? I was thinking of working at flashdancers. If you have any further advice, that would be most welcome! I'm also looking for a 1 bed apt in manhattan to rent (clean, good area and modern), so if anyone hears of anything, keep me posted pls, thanks all xx
