    Default pondering

i realized something tonight at work. the amount of money that i make is substantially different every time i work and i dont think it has much to do with me. i think it has a lot more to do with the luck of the draw, seeing regulars, and what kind of patrons are in the club on a given night (ie, sunday night the majority of customers were looking to find a brunette to dance with them, so the one brunette at the club does very well) so perhaps instead of refining our hustle techniques, we should instead look for a crowd that is drawn to how we are naturally instead of twisting arms for dollars.

just my ramblings, im sleepy, i may be completely wrong.

Your point is a good one.

I think a little of both should be practiced. One can always work on improving ones sales techniques, but finding the right type of environment is key.

This is why whenever a newbie comes on the boards looking for advice the first thing I ask is if they have ever been to a SC yet, and/or have they been to one they could see themselves working at.

In any industry the right fit is important. If I were to move to a different company, even if it was in the same industry, I might not do as well because that environment might not be the right fit for me. Luckily I feel the place I work is a good fit for me, so I still continue to work on my sales skills to futher improve.

Some dancers are best suited for certain areas, certain clubs, certain shifts, etc. Understanding those things can definitely help to maximize one's earning potential.

First of all...who said that because the customer is looking for a dance from a brunette, that they won't buy one from you?

I work in a club where hustling isnt really how most of the girl make their money, so it really depends on regulars, and what the crowd wants. I've found that different nights draw different crowds, and I learned what nights draw the crowd that likes my type. So, I started working the same shifts every week, and my money has stayed very nicely consistent since then

They aren't looking for a brunette or a blond! They're looking for YOU! I've tried everything... Once I tried 'nice, self absorbed stripper' my money went up. I say things like, "I'm so glad you came to see ME!" It's dumb, and I'm not really that cool, but it works.

I think that during the night of "everyone loves a blonde" that a girls attitude can start to go sour only because shes starts tonnot into hustle as much. Sorry, but its somewhat of an excuse to sit your butt down and not hustle. "Oh no one likes me out there tonight" is an excuse.
This is a great time to stand out..which is something I like to do when Im having a so-so day. I put on a pretty dress (no one wear dresses here) and get that "Im f-ing hot" thing going and it boosts my mood to re-try the room. Im sure theres more but theres alot you can overcome to make a bad night a good night and it starts with you.
