    Wigs??

I was wondering if anyone wears wigs on a regular basis at the club? My hair is at that annoying in-between stage. Too long to wear some styles-Too short to wear other ways. I won't be able to get extensions until I've been working for a little while. So does anyone have advice on wigs? Do they help or hurt business??

I was literally just about to post this same question! I was wondering if anyone wore one on a regular basis. I was thinking in investing in a decent quality one so I wouldn't have to put so much strain on my hair AND so I wouldn't have to "do" it all the time, which I hate and only do in "real life" for occasions....otherwise I brush it straight and I think I look fine

I wear wigs all the time!!
I would suggest if you have a nice bang area to wear a fall... or extensions.
It looks more natural because the hairline is exposed... yet, it is difficult sometimes to match hair colors.
I've always felt more comfortable in them though.
and less people can tell it's fake (like 60% less!!)

Ebay has a nice select of both full and 3/4 wigs.
this is one of my favorite sellers

The thing about "investing" in wigs is they have a very short life span.
Even if you take care of them the amount of movement dancing takes really makes it become "thick" and knotted.
Of course a higher quality wig lasts longer but, learn about WIG CARE before spending alot on one...
there are some relatively cheaper options.
If you know how to wear them right alot of wigs can look rockin'!!!

Due to a sudden thyroid failure, I had to have a lot of my hair cut off. I still made cash, but not as much as when I had my long, golden locks. So, I got some falls. My $$ went up immediately, and NO ONE can tell it's not my real hair, even it "real life." I wear them all the time, because doing my short hair requires way, way more effort and heat styling than is good for it (I am growing it long again now that my thyroid meds are doing their job). My falls aren't the super-high ends ones, and I buy a new one every few weeks, but the pony-tail types are like $12-35 in my area (depends on length and thickness), so it's WAY worth it.

    Thumbs up Re: Wigs??

I don't dance yet, but I am working up to it. My hair, too, is at the stage at which it is impossible to work with. I spent some time looking for wigs online, sifting thru the tacky-flea-market-junk took a little while, and found a decent site with an abundance of relatively inexpensive, great looking peices. Falls, extensions, heat resistant synthetic and human hair, costume wigs, The Works! They event have photos of real girls wearing there wigs. They will even create you a custom peice. Its worth a look, I think.

With "falls" do you have to wear a headband?

not always I wear this style \

it has built in combs to hold it on and you simply style the hair around it. (along with bobby pins)

also there are banana clips, french combs, draw-strings and scrunchie style hair pieces

I used to wear a wig everyday to my normal office job. I got alot of shit from it from certain people, other people didn't know and loved my hair. I also used those long ponytails, i think they rock!!!, lol. better than a wig, in my opinion.

Do falls look realistic if you don't have bangs? I ordered a wig before and the front band looked sorta poofy and fake.

JUST LOOK UP 3/4 FALL JEZ...

otherwise they're called HEADBAND WIGS BUT, you'll get a little of everything when you do the search... maybe put in Comb 3/4 fall ?

Since you live in Vegas, I recommend U.S. Wigs. It's on Maryland Parkway and their # is 702-650-6566. The lady who owns the shop is really nice, she can help you find the perfect wig. I regularly get my wigs there (for some reason I make much better money with long hair than my own short hair.) If you go there, ask them to sew on clips at the top front and bottom back of your wig, so it stays in place during dances.
