    Default Changing image

I tend to go for an "edgy" look, but it seems like I keep getting labeled as "the goth stripper" which just isn't my thing. I'm half lebanese and half white and I'm pale with naturally black hair / dark eyes. Though I like to play around with my hair color. Also, I wear somewhat "punky" eyeshadow/eye makeup. The girl next door look simply does not work for me, but I'm thinking maybe I should try to tone it down and invest in a tanning salon. Maybe even try a completely new look, but I'm drawing a blank. Any suggestions would be great.

[I'm attaching a photo to help.. hopefully I didn't mess it up.]

You look like an angel. I would wear more pink eyeshadow around your eye... less eye liner... more mascara... maybe even dress like a school girl? That may increase your marketability and your $$$pay$$$. It depends on what YOU want... do you want to maintain your individuality or do you want to make more money (and possibly) lots of it? Because in my experience... the custy's who have the most money are the older guys... and overall older guys are not looking for the Goth Look or anything similar. That's been my experience anyway....

    thank you.

someone suggested i do an anime schoolgirl thing because i have big eyes and do pink hair a lot. but i was worried that might be even more weird. mostly i'm just looking for a more accessible look, i'm flexible. whatever gets me paid.

Why not try going lighter on the hair, you look like you have a very fair skin, and lighter but sexy clothes...Say white! It looks hot under lights, and the hair would be a nice change, of course more pinks in the way of make-up would be pretty too!!

Or go to a nice rich brown hair colour, and wear earth-tone make-up, along with blue clothes, and nice maroons etc.

Wow..soooo many ways to change you're image. I went pretty drastic myself. Now i am changing back to the way i was ONLY for a model shoot. It's all about what you like/want!!!

    Good luck.

I look at changing my look for work this way: I'm paid to do it, and I don't have to do it all the time......which I hope helps with the bother of having to re-do your look.

You have such pretty eyes, learn how to do exotic eye makeup and that alone will boost your income. Your skin tone is very nice, match some ornate looking costumes to your hair and complexion....do pretty hair up-dos and curling, and you have an elegant, exotic look. Very popular with wealthier, older men who want to be impressed.

P.S. Please don't do the anime thing. Creepy broke young men will only be interested. Not why you show up at work.

There's a girl on the opening page of www.agentprovocateur.com her look is kinda edgy and sexy.

(marilyn, diva, sissy, collete are also links for more face shots)

Or try www.victoriassecret.com and click on bras-- if you lighten your hair and makeup it will soften your look and still be sexy, you have a similar facial structure it looks like....Also the smoldering eye thing going on.

ooh, you look like you've got cheekbones to kiiiill for!
i wouldn't advise trying to go for the look that everyone else does (especially tanning - yick! stand out with clear, beautiful, fair skin! you'll look better in ten years, trust me!), it may not look right if you aren't comfortable in it, and why look like the run-of-the-mill college girl anyway?
i'd develop your own style that you still find sexy and is also appealing to a wider audience. with little touches here and there "goth" can be turned into a glamorous look, in a retro, throwback sort of way. play up your naturally gorgeous features, eyes (especially if they look good smoky), complexion, hair.

I have spent the last 5 years being the "edgy girl"..........really you should go with it, if it does not work just sand down the edges a bit. I have spent years being called the "goth" girl when I make fun of goths for their awkward looks and what not... you will be just fine, just don't go too far over the edge, I'm pretty sure you know what their edge is...right?
