    Default hair help b/4 tomorrow

Hey, all, I had my hair colored, cut @ salon. She blew it out VERY straight, & used flat iron, (looks great). It's been rainin' lots here, very humid, cool (50's). What can I use/do to keep it straight for another couple days or so, & possibly get that 'piecey' '2nd day' look? thanks a lot

If it's very humid, the only thing you can do is keep inside, and if you do go out, make sure your head is covered.

If you want to continue the look, invest in a ceramic straightening iron. They're a bit expensive (expect to pay $40-60) but absolutely worth it. Regular straightening irons, the minute youw alk outside into humidity, your hair frizzes and curls up. With a ceramic iron, you can go out, even walk through a little drizzle and still have gorgeous straight hair. Also, it takes less time (it takes me 20 minutes) to straighten hair (it used to take me 1-2 hours with a regular straightener)

Ya know that's what i really hate about salons. And why alot of my friends bitch after. So i don't get my hair done at a salon, well i went before but not for a cut and style, i am chicken.

Why don't you call the salon and ask them how to maintain the hair at home to keep you're look!! I am sure you may have to purchase a few products for frizz control and such, but it would be well worth it.

    Good luck,

    Pamela

Not to sound like a sales rep. (Just a fanatic) the Fouruk Chi flat irons are the absolute BEST. (And their price alone will tell you that) *rolls eyes*.

I went through two or three ''cheap'' hair straightners and got EXACTLY what I paid for, so I bit the bullet and coughed up the 100 bucks for a Chi (via ebay) and AM IN LOVE. Best this ever, it heats up quickly, takes only a minute or two (swear it) to do my hair, and it looks great for days!

Other thing you can't skimp on - good shampoo and GREAT conditioners (I like the matrix SLEEK system) also a bit pricey - but you only get one head of hair (unless you wear wigs) so take care of it!

There are also oils that you can use to help maintain frizz/control (like Biosilk) but be careful - just a touch too much can leave your hair looking 'greasy' and 'snakey' near the ends and the roots.

All this, of course, is just IMHO.

Pam had some great advice - call the place and ask 'em too, never hurts.
