    "the rules"

so, ive been looking through the newbie board & there is soo much great advice!! thank you! but to be more specific -- whenever i'm reading a thread i usually stumble upon one of these.. . "unspoken" rules, the kind that deal more with etiquette & how to deal with other girls & common club courtesy, etc. the type of rules that if you break them / obviously dont know them, you are obviously a new girl. for example, one of the ones ive picked up on was one about taking a customer away from another dancer, and the proper way to do that if you were asked to come back by that customer.. . so yeah. things like that!

also, while im asking questions, body make-up? for bruises & such? anything anyone would recommend?

    thanks! <3 L

For all body stuff do a search in body business and when you search type one worded searches and youll find stuff.

*Unspoken words: dont ask how much money someone else made as well as dont tell anyone how much you have made yourself.

If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing

Probably the #1 thing that makes a newbie obvious is that she gets a big ego in her first couple of months as a dancer. She is getiing all kinds of male attention, and is hearing "you're the prettiest girl here" all night long, and thinks that she can suddenly run the club.

She is also listening to the customer "suggestions", and it is obvious when a new dancer is following the advice of a customer who really is just trying to take advantage of her.

Another big mistake that newbies frequently make is the "monkey see monkey do" mistake. Just because you saw another dancer breaking the rules, does not make it okay to break the rules. Just last night I worked with a new dancer who not only crossed the line of what is legal, but went way beyond what is okay at this club. She was just doing what she had seen in other places, and thought that we just weren't very creative here. Damn!! We have a liqour license and are held to more strict rules. I'm sure she thought I was a total bitch for pointing out the rules of legal stage dancing, but I like my club and don't want to have it closed down (again) because of dancer behavior.

Apologies, but were you making a general comment or were you asking for people to resond with some of the "unwritten" rules? If so....
