    Default My Weekend Predicament

The past few weekends have been less than lucrative for me. One of the problems is that I can't seem to get away from the $20 dances. Weather it's the birthday/bachelor parties, or just lower budget customers, my entire night gets eaten up. Add to that 2-3 stages, time to cool down (I get incredibly hot on stage) and freshen up, the time flies and it's last call before I know it. I don't want to be a complete bitch and turn down someone that I may be able to cultivate into a repeat customer or that I may be able to upsell after an initial $20 table dance, but something's gotta give. This is getting ridiculous. I feel cursed. Any suggestions?

I wish I had so many $20 dances that I felt burdened !! I would say either you need a new club one that is slower paced but with a higher clietel , likemaybe a champagne tyep club or just be happy that you are making money and that you are in enough of a demand that you dont' have any time to yourself !??

That's the thing! I DO work in an upscale, champange room, gown type club! And it is my newer club, I have mojo, and I stay working. Been there 6 weeks and I've only been experiencing this problem the past few weekends...Arrghhhh!

The weekends are probably your problem. The weekend nights don't attract as many older business travelers who come out alone, as the weeknights. Your target customers tend to come out Monday-Thursday nights and the weekends are more the younger guys in groups.

Add a couple weeknights to your work schedule, and at some point I bet you will get some VIP room sales.

This is just the start of annoying weekend bachelor parties (summer wedding season). I would avoid those like groups the plague. Never very lucrative. My target custys were the traveling businessman with money to burn.
And yes, totally agree with you Tina, they come out more during the week, and early evening. I met some of my best money making regulars midweek. Some custys I had for all 3 years I danced. When they find someone they like they will keep coming back. I'd rather have decent regulars than work my ass off getting $20 dances from young guys on weekends.

Luckily, Friday is just the beginning of my work week. I usually work thru Tueday night. The thing is this: I know it's possible to do well on weekends at this club; I've done it. The situation is frustrating. I'm hoping that maybe it's just some kind of slump for right now....

Keep hustling and start whining when you stop making money.

I think it's the summer weekend thing like former LV said - the money guys are out doing family stuff, the bachelor parties are in full force, and that makes for a hard weekend in a champagne club. I always see a drop in weekend business once school lets out for the summer.
