Lightbulb What To Do About Those Bruises

We all know we get them. Bruises. On our knees. Our legs. On our asses when we fall in new shoes... And they're never pretty.

I asked around at my local heath food store (Whole Foods for those of you that have one nearby) if they had anything to help bruises heal faster. The little hippie guy pointed me to Arnica.

It's extracted from a little yellow flower that grows in Central Europe and WOW does it do wonders for bruises and muscle aches!!!

I haven't been dancing long, so I get bruises on the sides of my kneecap nightly from crawling around the side stages, lol. At the end of the night, I go back to the dressing room and rub in a little bit of arnica cream on those puppies and POW...no bruises develop. Or if they do, they stay pink in color and only last a day or two. None of these nasty black, blue, green, yellow bruises that take forever in a day to heal.

I reapply the stuff maybe once or twice a day other than after my shift for good measure. This stuff is amazing. I normally bruise really easily (and I'm admittedly a total clutz), so this stuff has been a Godsend to me.

They sell it at most health food store in the health and beauty section and I've even seen it at Walmart here in Texas with the Hispanic herbal remedies (with the camphor oil, the violet oil, and other random stuff like that...can't hurt to ask if they have it).

Anywho, just thought I'd pass along what I've found!

Heat also helps your body to absorb bruises. Think heating pads, warm baths, etc.
