One sided is certainly a correct assessment ... however, the 'truth' factor remains to be seen. All in all a very effective use of George Soros' funds !
I'm going to restrict my response to just two points ...
On 9/11, 3000 US civilians were killed in Manhattan. In the past 4 years, essentially zero additional US civilians have been killed. It is unfortunate that about half that number of US troops have been killed in the middle east war since 9/11, however IMHO this was a necessary (and so far very effective) trade-off versus additional killing of civilians on US soil. US soldiers volunteered to place themselves 'in harm's way', whereas US civilians do not.
The middle east war is being run at least as well as any previous war. The only major difference from previous wars is that a significant segment of US politicians and US mainstream media has been unsupportive from the onset, and continue to be very vocal about any negative aspects they can find/publicize.
1. I see the lack of further U.S. civilian deaths as a good thing (who wouldn't?), but I don't see it as a consequence of the war in Iraq. The war in Afghanistan, sure, because that's where the terrorist planners and organizers were headquartered. But the case for Iraq is pretty thin.
2. All the Administration had to do to get public opinion on its side was make good on its promises - that there were stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to be defused, and that Iraq supported terrorism on a scale to justify the invasion and war. That wasn't done. Armed forces and civilians contractors are indeed in harm's way in Iraq, and the Administration broke faith with the American public as to the reasons why.
While the movie's presentation isn't balanced, I don't see anyone disputing the facts presented (they check out as best I can tell)
As for "as well as any other war" let's see: Domestic economy sluggish, military and civillians inharm's way with (as JZ indicates) no clear / honest representation as to why and what' our plan for completion/exit strategy is. If we are truly liberating iraq...then we've done that, and should leave (as the French did after helping with our revolution) and let things progress...but then we couldn't steer the process or control the oil.
This admin did break faith....not about sex as Clinton did but about the purposes and values of our country and what our fighting forces are there for. Of course, that those same forces will come home to cuts in their benefits lower than they agreed to on sign-on is just shoving salt in the open wound
