    Default Teeth and Sales

I size up customers by the looks of their smiles. Nice straight, white teeth usually indicate (if not good genes) a person who has money or comes from money. They tend to know about luxuries, and that being cheap never pays off.

What are your experiences with teeth?

I've had some great customers with terrible teeth. They 'oh' and 'ah' at mine as they hand over all the money they could be using to fix their teeth. YAY. Likewise I've had some real assholes with a perfect smile.

Braces do cost a lot, but that's more on their parents. If a guy had ortho as a kid, that doesn't mean he's got money now. Unless he has porcelain veneers, which glow in the blacklight, so you can usually tell. But all that means is that he's really concerned about his looks. We all know guys that come in wearing expensive clothes and jewelry and spend JACK.

One thing that could be an indicator are his fillings. Most adults have them, and you get to choose which kind you want.... the silver ones (which is the kind insurance usually pays for) are much cheaper than the porcelain.

I will admit I am more attracted to a customer that has a nice grill.I guess it's part of my fantasy of having the perfect looking customer.I mean, let's face it.It's much easier to dance for a good looking man.

Let's spin this thread around -- do you think having good teeth as a dancer (a great smile) is something that does make money .... or even "over" other such obvious attributes such as breasts ?

Oh, yes, I think it makes a difference; not only in how you appear to customers, but in personal confidence.

    Yes and yes.

I'm more attracted to customers with nice teeth, and find it easier to be more friendly with them. I also tend to think they generally have more money to spend - it usually indicates better hygiene and personal maintenance, and everyone knows appearance DOES play a part in how far people go in their jobs, so it follows that those with nice teeth might be more financially capable of spending money on strippers than those with awful smiles.

I also know that a smile makes a difference in the way customers see us. We are more confident when we feel good about our smiles, and tend to flash them more. Customers are also attracted to women with nice smiles, especially when they use them often.

I'm pretty sure getting my teeth fixed helped my income. I had jacked up ones and now they are perfect. it changed my whole face and expression. it might be a confidence factor, but I do get a bunch of compliments on my smile.

I work with a girl with fake boobs and bad teeth, and you still can't get over her teeth! She will always be snaggletooth, no matter how hot her body is. People don't want to trust Snaggletooth.

I have great teeth. Just about every customer will compliment my teeth, not my smile but my teeth.

I wish dancers would fix their teeth before they mess with their breasts. Good teeth = social mobility, according to David Sedaris's observation. After dancing is done, your great teeth will take you places big boobs can't.

I'm English - customers, dancers: we've all got terrible teeth

My teeth aren't too bad, nice and white and fairly straight, but i have seen some dancers who look stunning until they smile and nicotine stained rotting twisted teeth spoil it completely. But comparitively few peope in the UK spend money on their teeth because itis so expensive. A full set of veneers costs 4 times the amount that a boob job does!

As for customers, whatever they look like is no concern or indicator of spending. Although a lovely smile is attractive.

That's because most people don't know what fake teeth look like! Mine are veneers and only people that are very knowledgable in dentistry know.

My teeth used to be my worst attribute and now they are one of my greatest. To me, teeth are so important, but I don't think a lot of guys really care. I have seen some really nasty teeth (missing, rotted, gold...) on chicks, and guys still oooh and ahhh over the girls for whatever reason. You would think that a gross smile would be a turn-off, but I guess not. I don't think I'd want to kiss them or er, nevermind. I also presume that bad teeth are why these girls never smile. I love smiling because I love my job and I usually have a good time and because, damn, I've got Angelina Jolie lips and great teeth--and I love to show them off! When I do anything with my mouth, people go wild.

It does not matter if your teeth are fake or real--if they are nice, flash 'em--I'm speaking to you, Emily, your teeth are damn pretty!

"You had braces as a little girl, didn't you?" or "You've got a Hollywood smile" is what I hear a lot. I think in a subtle way it really does help out a dancer in this industry to take care of her visual appearance in quite a few ways. A girl with a pretty smile whether she is the most beautiful girl in the room or not will always have a good following,I think. And I have noticed that the men with great dental work/groomed appearance/great hygiene are usually better off than those who aren't..and want his companion to have similar attributes.

This isn't always true. How a person looks, what they wear, how they take care of themselves, etc., will sometimes give you an indication on how they think about and treat money. This isn't always true of course, but sometimes when you can size-up somebody quickly on the outside, it can give you some insight as to what they think on the inside.

Yep, I treat it like suits. the real expensive suit wearers don't always spend their money, but a guy in a cheap suit seems happy to get rid of his.
I like a guy with nice teeth, but unless he's missing quite a few, or they are grey and rotting, I don't think their teeth indicate how much they will spend.

LOL I wish I had thought of this post. My dental investment is six thousand dollars and climbing, so I believe nice teeth help.
PS Carecredit is a good way to pay for dental surgery if you don't have a dental plan.

What's Carecredit? I have Invisalign($4500!!!) right now, but when they come off, I'm still gonna need a few veneers because I have really tiny teeth.

    I used CareCredit.

It's basically a credit card for health expenses. You can even use it for vet bills!

The reason why I used it is because my dentist could apply for me right then and there and it offered 12 months of no interest. Actually, that's deceptive....you don't have to pay interest if you pay it off in 12 months. But if there's any balance at the end of the 12 months, you have to pay RETROACTIVE interest on the full amount at an insane amount (something like 24-25% APR). I would only recommend using CareCredit if it was an emergency or if you know for sure you can pay it off in 12 months (if you are offered the same terms I was).

teeth are so important in life. Once i chipped a tooth while jogging (fell) and it really messed up my whole appearance. I "felt" like i was trashy. Got it fixed of course!
On the original topic one of my relatives married an asian girl whos father was supposedly like a multi x10000 millionaire and he had a really bad set of teeth. So i am not sure if $= nice teeth !
