LOL...Maybe it is just a sign of the times? I dunno...I honestly try to put my best foot forward and no matter what is going on in my personal life will NOT bring that to the club. I have never been that girl who on the 30th needs to make up ALL of her rent in one or two nights...But these last few weeks have had me wondering what is REALLY going on that things just seem to be going downhill when I've actually been very sharp and consistent the whole time and I'm just getting the weirdest customers who apparently don't want me to close the sale(i.e.:make money!!!!) . Imagining this scenario in my head: Punter:You mean you dont just want to hang out with me for free and let me fatten you up with drinks? Me: Umm, how about you pay me the $10-20 bucks you wouldve spent on the drink and stop wasting my time! lol....Weird.....

Come back to AZ hun. It's not fabulous here in the hot summer but we're at least able to make a living, and it's sooooo much easier! I know SoCal is the armpit of strip club geography, and the way you describe the level of business there, it's not you, it's the place! If girls are outnumbering guys most of the time, it's time to go. Not only are there not enough guys to support the girls, but the guys actually get CHEAPER in that situation because they know they can. They know you have few options and they play on it.

    Get thee back here woman!

LOL...Thank you, Bridgette! I'll be heading back out there ASAP!!! I worked in Tucson, but I may also go ahead and come to Phoenix as well...Previously I had just shied away from the licensing but I'm over that! I have two weeks off before summer school so I'm going to try one week in Tucson, one in Phoenix/Tempe or Scottsdale. You don;t need a license for Christie's in Tempe, right?

No license needed to dance in Tempe or Scottsdale. So you could work at Christie's Tempe, Babe's, Skin....

If you're thinking of ever getting the kind of job where real background checks are done (govt, schools, airlines, etc), don't get the Phx stripper license. If you're most likely not gonna be working those type of jobs, I wouldn't sweat the license issue. It's a $22 annual expense and is just a city thing. Not like someone doing a routine job interview and reference check would ever find it - for that matter, I don't think it comes up on a criminal check either. It's a business license issued by the city business license dept.

OK....Scottsdale and Tempe are fine. I'm still twirling my thumbs about my future career, but have taken both the GRE and LSAT so whichever jobs I might have to worry over employment checks...I'll stay in the unlicensed areas for now...!!!Thanks a lot, Bridgette!

i've been going through the same thing where i'm at. what i did what pretty much just up and quit my club (told them i needed a break) and went to nashville- made mad $$$ there!!!

i kept hearing the same excuses- it's slow season (ok, i heard that for a long time- when's busy season), weird guys (hmm all of them, in the past few months?).

my issues- my lease is almost up, i have nowhere set to live, license has almost expired and no where to put as an addy for my new one, roomate is being flighty- argh!

For the license: Go to a private mailbox rental place - NOT the post office and NOT Mailboxes Etc / UPS Store - and rent a private mailbox. You'll get a mailing address that's a STREET address and looks like an apt, not a PO box, and you can use that for your license. I use mine for EVERYTHING: driver license, bills, credit cards, registration, insurance, stripper license, etc. I don't recommend Mailboxes Etc / UPS Store because they require all kinds of proof of address (utility bills, lease) which is bullshit. The smaller locally owned places are less strict about that and generally just ask for ID at most, and you fill out a very basic form with a home address. You can have packages sent there and they will sign for it and keep it until you pick up.

The mailbox is good for keeping a good mailing/shipping address even if you move, and also good for security reasons - people can't track your home address by looking up your license plate and such.

    Address will look like
    1234 Your St. #123
    City, ST 00001

Yeah, I know what you mean, Toxicgirl...."It's been slow" for a good 3 or 4 months is not the best mantra to hear over and over again!!! And, yes, Bridgette, I'll PM you for sure when I solidify plans to go out there!
