    Default Just $20

We all know that SW is overloaded, and to insure that this invaluable site is not lost, or down more than it is up, contributions from it's users on a monthly basis would be helpful, right?

If the majority of us could contribute a mere $20 bill from monthly earnings that could go a long way towards insuring this site will be here for all of us.

I am making a plea for everyone to get a security envelope NOW, put a $20 bill in it with your user name attached, and send it to:

    LUNA TECHNOLOGIES
    1443 E. WASHINGTON BLVD, #148
    PASADENA, CA 91104

And do this at the beginning of each month. Of course if you can do more great, but with so many members, this would be a big boost. $20 is not much to ask for everything we gain from SW, is it?

I am sending out my contribution today, and hope all of you will follow suit.

If it were to be a check, who would I write it out to? Luna Tech./Stripperweb?

You could PM Pryce to verify who the check could be made out to.

I pay $25/year for a fanastic blog site. I think $20/month is a bit much compared to other rates. Though by far, SW is the best resource for dancers and dancer-friendly people. Could SW have restricted access for paying members? It would weed out pervs and trolls. And heck, if you can't afford $25-$50/year for access to the forums, then you aren't managing your finances correctly! If a member wants access to pics, they should pay $20/month or something like that. I'm not an expert, just a consumer.

That said, I will contribute $25 because I love this site.

I agree with Tina's suggestion to get on the donation bandwagon here, but...

I implore to everyone here to never, EVER, send currency in the mail, even in a security envelope. If it gets lost, stolen, or destroyed/misdirected by USPS's automated sorting equipment, not only does Pryce not get your donation, you more than likely have no recourse of getting your money back.

I suggest instead writing a check or if you wish to keep your real name anonymous, a money order which you can buy at the PO for 90 cents and at most banks for a dollar or less.

I was merely stating a simple way for members to contribute whatever they can to preserve this site. If I know who I am sending money to, and it is a small amount,I usually place it between two small sheets of paper and send it in a security envelope. It is always easier for private recipients of money to deal with cash over checks and money orders, unless a large amount is involved.

If $20 is too much for some of us who are not working, $5 is helpful, considering how many members we have.

Heck, if every regular user who is actively dancing, put $2 in an envelope every night she works, and mailed that off the first of each month, for a girl who works 10 days a month that is $20, for a girl who works 15 days a month that is $30, and for one who works 20-25 days per month that is $40 and $50 respectively. Those funds could add up fast with all of the SW membership even if only 7 out of 10 users contributed in this way.

That is my whole point. Most of us wouldn't even miss the money if it were done that way, and those REGULAR contributions would go a LONG WAY towards improving this site.

    Just my .02 worth.

    I'll definitely send it out

Does stripperweb count as a business expense, and thus tax deductable? I'd hate to send cash that could be interpreted as unreported income when I could send a check

Any chance we could start a way to send money through paypal or something more instantaneous?

Wow, something about this offends me... I just can't quite put my finger on it. I don't have a problem paying for something that's beneficial to me... I'm annoyed now... later.

I'm quite happy to chipin when I can, I get a fare few tips at work in $US so it's a way to get rid of them as they dont cash them in if they're damaged which they often are from my garter.

I also would love to be able to give money to StripperWeb and claim it.

It is because I'm such an active member of this board that is for the industry my business is primarily within that I can claim most of my internet expense (as a business expense). I said most. I claim around 80% of it as business allowing for 20% to be personal use in what-ever capacity.

I'm also on the other side of the world where it would take 10 business days ... or up to a fortnight... to send an international money order. Also.. international money orders and bank drafts aren't inexpensive for me to send (unlike a normal money order which would only cost $2.50-$3 depending on the Post Office)... esp. for such a small amount like $20 USD.

I'm planning to save up my money anyway and eventually send around $200 AUD (whatever that converts to in USD at the time of conversion) international money order... just might take a month or two.

Unless...... there is a better alternative for those of us on the other side of the world (outside the USA esp. in the Southern Hemisphere) to send money (not cash)... use credit cards if we have to....

We did have paypal set up, but they cancelled because they don't like to deal with "adult" business.

    Omigod, that is so retarted!
For those of us too lazy to send a check, my bank allows me to send payments online. They basically mail the check to the payee for you after electronic confirmation.

They'll accept a check. The reason I mentioned cash is that everyone has an envelope, should have a stamp, and some cash at home, and was just noting an easy way to contribute whatever amount no matter how small to help our cause.

Whatever is most convenient to a person is fine.

I know it is a different situation for our out of the country members since Paypal bailed out on our industry, but no matter how long the mail takes, I am sure Pryce and Girl Friday will appreciate an international money order, no matter how long it takes to get here.
