How to ask for dances without "asking" the question.

Hi everyone! I was hoping you guys can help. I work at this rinky dink club where there are some obsenely strict rules. No contact at all - no kissing on the cheek, no hugging hello or good bye, and we are not allowed to "ask" for dances. So the large majority of the money being made is from stage. Which is ok cuz I stil pull in 900 - 1200 a week.

But I would like to make a little more. The owner said we could suggest dances to the guys. I can't seem to do this right, tho. The dances are done on a mini stage about three feet from the ground with poles on the corners. We cannot touch or lean out from the stage. Oddly enough, some guys still want to buy some dances.

So the challenge is, how does one ask guys for dances without "asking" for them in question form. You girls are all so smart on here. I love reading this site so much, I know you guys will have some great answers.

    Thanks!

"I'd be happy to tell you about our private dances if you're interested."

"Over there is where we do a more personal dance."

"Thanks for tipping me on stage. You should see what I do during an individual dance!"

"You know we offer a more private dance, right?"

    and of course

"I can't ask you for a dance. Would you like to ask me for one?"

How about, "You look like you could really use a dance right now" or "I bet you woud LOVE to have a dance right now, wouldn't you?"

I've never heard of such a rule! A strip club where dancers can't sell dances?!? hmm...

That's funny! Your club sounds a lot like mine. We have the same setup for "private" dances. Where I work, we only have poles on the small stages, so I just tell the guys I want to ride the pole They almost always follow me!

Actually, I worked at this club in Tyler Texas where asking for dances was considered solicitation.. weird huh? You could ask them if they want to Ride the ( insert your name here) Ride. I used that one a lot and it seemed to work rather nicely.

    Good luck!

Yeah, asking for dances is considered solicitation at this club. From what the owner tells me, the town is trying is hardest to close the place. They can't just shut it down, for it's grandfathered in. So they are trying to nickel and dime it to death. The place still gets business, oddly.

Thanks for the suggestions. You guys came up with these so easily. I'm actually going to post these up in the dressing room, so everyone can benefit from this.

Eva, where in the world are you? PM me if you want. I've been to a Colorado club or two, and that is just mildly strange.

I like Susan's comment. Just explaining the place to the guy and nodding or pointing over to the dance area and saying, "That's where the good dances take place," or something like that, gets the message across.

The club's in Brighton - northeast of Denver. Not much out there. It was a big ordeal when they put up a movie theater and a Q'Doba's.

Whoops, sorry, I missed this one from a while back.

I understand. I've been to that club once. I did have fun, because I almost always do in a strip club, but there was nothing there that made me want to get a dance on the side, and no one offered. One girl did come by and chat while she stood a couple feet away. The DJ, a snotty blonde guy, was making angry remarks about management. Everyone seemed to want to watch from the bar. I felt self-conscious every time I went up to the stage to lay some money down.

Maybe it was just a bad evening. But I definitely thought, "man, these girls could be making good money somewhere else."

    No hugs!!

    That's very sad.
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"
