    Default without a pole

i've noticed quite a few clubs that didn't have poles. personally, i find it's presence sort of comforting. gives me something to play with. i was wondering how you work around not having one. a lot of floorwork? i'm really curious.

I have used a chair, table, sofas, love seats, and even at one bike club, an engine stand.
If you got the imagination, it can be done.

I love my pole! I wouldn't really want to work w/o one, but traditional cabaret dancing is hot. If that was the case, I'd probably not wear really big shoes.

I remember a go-go club out on Long Island that had a stage that was JUST a circular, raised stage. Not too big, and nothing on it. I couldnt work with that. I need SOMETHING to work with besides the floor. Floor work is cool, and maybe dancing ala Goldie Hawn-GoGo-Laugh In style is fun, but I couldnt JUST do that.

But if there was a couch or a railing... or even a wall! Something. I need something....

When I worked in Cleveland I didn't have a pole. I just pranced around and looked pretty. I did miss that damn pole though.

I haven't worked in a club without a ploe for ages now, but I like the challenge when there isn't one. I just dance between floor work if theres no pole. I still do almost 0 pole tricks although i will work around one if it's there.
