    Foxy Lady's In Providence, R.I.

I have been told that this would be a good club to try out for a weekend here or there. I will be living about 3hours from it....will it be worth the drive?

Also, can anyone tell me what the process is for working there? Up in ontario you just walk in, hand over some I.D. and if they like your look, you are in. How does it work there? What I.D. would be nessessary? (Being a canck and all...)

    Thank you!

Hopefully someone else will be able to fill you in on the ID requirements and the hiring process.

As far as feedback on the actual club goes....

The Foxy Lady - Providence (there are 2 other Foxy Lady clubs in MA) is still one of the better known clubs in the area. You can find out some info on the club at www.thefoxylady.net

A weekend shift there prolly wouldn't be too bad. Lots of travellors visit this club, and it will get busy during the night shift.

As far as day shifts go, most customers who are familiar with the SC scene in Providence will avoid FL. In fact, I believe it's the only club in the city that charges a day time cover.

As most clubs in Providence, RI it's medium contact, however the FL has a rep. for the dances being a little less contact on average than some of the other places.

Bottom line is a dancer can do very well at this place. It's still considered one of the better clubs in the area, not the best, but still up there, and it still draws a good crowd especially for night shifts. I'd just be warry of working too many day shifts here.

    Best of Luck!

(If you check out the Clubs and Reviews section you'll find some reviews of mine and others on several of the Providence area clubs.)

hey, this was my first club!

But anyway.. to answer your questions...Its a good club to try, but not longterm at 3 HRS THERE AND 3 BACK!

When i got hired i went through a check by one of the owners and a guy that works there and he asked me a couple of questions after i showed him my body. (not an uncomfortable experience)

After that they asked if i would want to do amateur night. I said i would and then went to brockton mass's Foxy lady and placed. They put me in providence's foxy lady from there as a newbie.

You can get hired w/out doing the contest, i was new and wanted to do it. Oh and they have all this advertising saying that you will win like more then 1k or 2k i think. The prize for first place(at that time) was 750 as i remember.

But anyway.. if you work there.. say hi to linda for me!

oh and btw. They say the contest is manditory... But just like the 3 or 4 days they expect you to work weekly, IT CAN BE BENT IF THEY WANT YOU BAD ENOUGH!

So, do most clubs expect you to drive out to some other place to audition at an amateaur night? My goodness,,,seems like a long process that would only be worth it for a real big money club. Is this club that good? I am willing to go through that for a great club, no problem, but want to find out which clubs are worth it.

What if you already have titles and promo and all that before you go? Would they take that into consideration? I am only really looking to find somewhere to work now and then, for a few days. Sopmeone mentioned this club to me up here, and that I should look into it...

Tampadancer: Feel free to pm me if you feel like sharing any more info, I would love to find out what what is considered a good night and a bad night in this club, as well as all the fees and so on. (We only have a 20 fee here, plus a DJ tip, and that's Canadian dollers! lol But I am hearing alot about clubs getting a cut of your total income for the night and tip outs and all that.) Kinda confused about how it all works down there!

    Thanks again,
    kennedy

This club just happens to be a chain with 3 locations, 2 in MA and 1 in RI. Most clubs would not send you to another club to do an am. night.

    Best of Luck.

Ok I tired to reply to your thread the other day but after I wrote everything I am about to write again the server was busy and it was deleted .

The Foxy Lady is a great company to work for . The Brockton club was my first SC I had ever even seen and it was a great a place to start . First to answer your questions , to get hired at the Providence club you go on in a Monday night for the amautur contest now you do not have to particiapte but it is just easier for the management to handle all their hirng together . All you have to do is show up and say I want a job and they will audition you and if they want to hire you they will ask you come back usually the next morning to fill out paper work and go through a sort of orientation . You will met with the house mom and she will give you a schedule , last I knew they made ALL new girls work a week or so of day shifts to start . Day shifts are fine as you will see by the quality of girls that work them , I got champagne on my first day shift . They have a make artist and I recommend that you use them , they hire very good ones . The dress code is gowns on main stage with matching gloves and they don't like all the styles of dancer shoes , most are fine though . They just want a classy look , they will tell you not to walk into the club for your shift in sweats and no makeup too .

Anyways you will not be sorry if you decide to work here , you can make serious bank . I worked a friday day shift once there and towards the end of my shift I met a guy who wanted to take me into the champagne room . After our first hour he wanted me to stay longer and longer , we ended up in there until the club closed . They make you charge 300/hr for the champagne room no more no less so after 8 hours you can imagine how much I walked out with not to mention that I had already about 300 during my day shift . I think that night Vince Neil from Motley crew was there too .

I really miss working there , hopefully you will like it good luck xoxo

Oh and I just wanted to point out that I was a lower earner at this club . When I went to the office to cash in my foxy dollars from that night there were a few other girls that had more than I did and from their conversations it was clear that they always made that kind of money

Wow! That sounds a bit more encouraging! What exactly is the job of a "house mom"?

Everything sounds much more structured and organized then up here, lol!

Sorry to go off track a litte....but for future referance what I've been doing lately is before I hit submit, I highlight my message and <copy> it. You can either do this by right-clicking over the highlighted text and choosing <copy> or you can use the key command and hit <ctrl>+<c> together. Once it's copied if you loose the post you can just paste the copied text in a new message and try again.
