    Default I retired today

Today I realized that I no longer want to dance. I told my manager that I was done and left.....New chapter in the life of Nina!! No actually I think I'm ready to retire my alter ego too!

I've spent so much time and energy as a sexual artist that it will be weird just being ME from now on.

I've worked sporadically over the years so I know what's in store, but this is the first time I've ever looked forward to never returning to the clubs. My biggest worry is other people.... at work I rarely talk to the other dancers, but in regular jobs you've gotta put up a friendly front w/ your co-workers... I hate that stuff!! Oh well we will see how it goes.

Does that mean you're gonna leave SW? (please don't, it's just that that seems to be the trend!)

Don't worry; it will be carried over to her new career.

You don't have to put up a front if you don't like the people you work with in any job. Just try to find something that you like the people you work with! I've been the "office bitch" because I just didn't get along with some of the girls in the office clique and it sucked but why be fake?

Unless you are a natural born "stripper fantasy girl", molding your personality into something that the market requests is requisite in this industry. If a real stripper wants to make money, she has to be "fake" to a degree, period. The office bitch might get talked about behind her back, the strip club bitch gets jumped by 7 girls in the dressing room. Food for thought.......

That being said, congratulations Nina. The time was right and you knew it. You have been such an inspiration to me on this site, and you pull no punches here. I hope you stick around and continue to contribute.

I see you kicking ass in a great sales position in the near future.

Does that mean you will be moving to Boca Raton, hit the Early Bird specials, wear black socks with loafer and shorts, drive with the left blinker on, and say "Why those darn whippersnappers"?

Thanks you guys for the encouragement....

Katrine you've sent out some pretty positive vibes! I got an interview today!!!!! It's for a sales job (low budget but we'll see!)

After taking 2 weeks off (before I quit) I'm positive that I don't want to do the suburban housewife thing again. You know after the first 2 years dancing that was my goal---Find a really generous guy, and become a pampered stay at home trophy chick, but let me tell you I'm bored out of my f-ing mind. I just want to work my ass off for a while-- like 50 hours a week.

My baby came home today talking nonsense about not being happy at work and wanting something new too. I'm sure this will be a great start for both of us! Although thankfully, he's far too responsible to just up and quit his job. Although if I was making the moolah dancing that he makes, I'da never quit--no matter how much I was over it!!

Good luck Krissy!!-- I always wanted to come up your way and shake my booty, but I never made it up there.

PJ --- Boca Raton?! not a chance I want to put in some work right now.. -- at least for a year or two.
