I literally rubbed the skin of one of my shins inside my boot. I think this is going to scar. Any idea how to avoid scarring?

I think that neosporin helps out alot! It also takes away some of the pain. I used to have a problem with cutting, and my mom bought me these patches to lighten my scars, they seem to work. She got them at walmart I think. Tanning of corse lightens scars *and strech marks* too. Hope it helps!
Neosporin
Vitamin E oil (interenal and external)
Cocoa Butter
Maderma skinpatches
Lot's of water
multivitamin's
Your new part time job is repeated application of the above products... 4 or more times per day if possible. My scars don't heal so well if I leave bandaid on them. Yours may be different though.

If enough Neosporin is applied to the skin and there is an abrasion there, allergic reactions could form. Try alternating with another topical antibiotic, called Bactracin ( sp?). Also if it is possible, try letting your boo-boo breath a little each day without a bandage on it.
Just remember to keep it, clean, clean, clean and you will be okay!
