OK well I am currently working at a club right now, but it is not the best in the world. Far from it. I was wondering if there are any good clubs I could check out in the elgin ish area?

There is only one club in the Elgin Illinois area and it is Blackjacks. Check club review section this board upper right toggle switch.
For suburban Chicago Blackjacks is in a nice area (by comparison with most Chicago clubs)
has a huge parking lot with unneeded mandatory valet parking most times of the day,
and a nice rehabbed interior. The club has been rebuilt from both a business, and physical standpoint from what it was three years ago when the previous owner closed and the club died and shut down. It's too small in terms of floor area square footage for the growth area it is in but that Chicago area for you.
My guess is that you are now in the Rockford area, or Compton Illinois. Also look at the Sugar Bomb in Geneva (starter club) or Diamonds, which is rumored to be hiring due to new competition. See this board under new club in Chicago for more details.
My personal opinion is that the clubs in north central Illinois are really good, Kappa and
Peoria. However if you are too close to Chicago they may be too far away to drive to.
This board has alot of resources in past threads on this issue.
Which (if any) clubs in Illinois hire between 18-20?
Also, have you ever heard of Big Al's in Peoria, they have a full bar though, so I assume they don't hire 18 year olds, or is that just a Chicago thing and not applicable to all of Illinois?

Actually the answer on 18 year olds is that depends. In Illinois (don't know about Cook County and Chicago area exactly), there is sometimes a local exemption for 19 year olds working in a restaurant bar. Example Bennigans and Applebees which have a full
restaurant.
Blackjacks has a restaurant or kitchen, and perhaps has an exemption. Big Al's might but does not have a restaurant. However it is far away in Peoria where local city law may over ride if state statute allows a full fledged city to override. Peoria is a home rule city in Illinois so it has much greater powers than just a city. Villages or Towns in Illinois have very limited powers. Cities can do what counties do in Georgia and sometimes more.
(Upon moving here I was surprised to find that City governments in Illinois are so much more powerful than city governments in the south.)
Kappas (In Kappa Illinois) has a huge kitchen and has special fish fry and steak dinners advertised on their sign each week. In fact, from the outside Kappas looks like an American Legion Hall nor VFW post running a fish fry. While it has a huge sign that says Kappas on I 39 which is about 100 feet high. It just says Kappas... which some people think is a restaurant, which of course it also has. Kappas (Near Bloomington) might have an exemption.
Silver Slipper in Ottowa might have a restaurant. Again the reason I am fixated on restaurants in this answer, is that there may be some leeway for under age
employees in the restaurant/bar business. My opinion is that underage in just a bar strip club won't work. Also I have never come across a dancer who says she is 18, but a few who really really are 19 or 20... but always in restaurant clubs. They wear wrist bands
so bar tenders and managers know they are not supposed to drink.
Never have run across a dancer under 21 in Cook County or Chicago. I may be
wrong here but believe in Cook County generally that is a no no.
Hope someone else comments, because I may be wrong here.
For the most part, and I think I already answered this in another thread, you cannot work in Cook County at a Stripclub that serves liqour if you are under 21. Cook County does not go for that. Diamonds is a juice club (customers can bring their own liqour, though) but it thong on stage and full nude dances on the floor.
I am not sure about the other clubs you asked about. If you are interested, the best thing to do is to call them and ask them yourself. That way, you don't waste your time going in if they won't hire you because of age.
After you find out, you can make a post and tell us what they say.![]()
If you are close to Chicago give Industrial Strip in Hammond, Indiana a try. They have no alcohol so you only have to be 18.
IS in Hammond Indiana is a VERY high contact club..."extras" there are rampant and expected...and condoned. If you are ok working in this kind of club...then by all means, give it a shot.![]()
Actually if I worked in Illinois I would be living near Normal, IL and travelling to Chicago a couple times a month (I know people there also), so Indiana would be kind of far and I'm definately not comfortable with extras, I'm not even comfortable with all-nude lap dances! Thank you anyway though. I got a message that said Scores has 18 and 19 year olds, so that helped a lot. I guess the 21 thing is a Cook County law, you were right Venus, but doesn't necessarily apply to outside that county.
Also, another girl said at Scores you can be under 21, but need a bracelet and get breathylized, the bracelet is kinda lame, but I don't care about the breathylizer since I don't drink really anyway.
If they do it, it's something to look into...although, I have to say that I've known quite a few underage dancers who attempted to get work there and were turned away and told to come back when they turned 21.Who knows?

Kappa Kabana is pretty close to Normal. Nice place. The dancers there offer both topless and nude laps, as I remember. Perhaps it's the dancer's option.
actually at crazy rock in romeoville you only have to be 18 to work there.. they serve alcohal... and im pretty sure the club im at . All Stars Club is 18 and up too..![]()

Kappas is only 15 minutes north of where you live in Bloomington Normal. It is a big new facility with a full restaurant on site.
