I wax, but that's only a temp solution. I heard that many dancers are doing the permanent hair removal, I'm still not too familiar with that.

And old-school verboten (label says "no") way is Nair, the cocoa butter one. BUT after a bad experience with Nair, I just shave.

I vote wax, and pluck and groom as the hairs grow back.

I get bad razor burn. I just shave though. I like using hair conditioner and shaving "with the grain". I only go against the grain if I just uncorked a new razor. Otherwise, it's with the grain and sideways.

Shave in a hot bath, under the water. I also like to squirt a little baby oil in the water for shaving. It makes the shave smoother with less cutting and razor burn. Then let the water out and shower after - don't want to go to work with baby oil all over!

I have tried every bodyhair removal method except needle electrolysis and laser. Nothing works as well as shaving for me. Waxing does NOT get all my hairs, I have too many (they say too much shaving caused that ). Nair and other depilatories are crap. Epilady - aaaahhhhh! No-needle electrolysis - too expensive for the results. Magic Shave - good results but kinda messy and pain in the ass. And I am sorry but I'm not cool with paying someone to repeatedly poke my pubic area with an electric-charged needle for the sake of hair removal! So I continue with the shaving underwater method.

I have considered getting laser for quite a while. It really would be nice to just zap it bald and forget it!

    I shave like this:

    Brand new razor
Smear a LOT of neosportin on the area
    Shave With the grain
Keep the area dry with baby powder or cornstarch
scrub w/ salacylic acne cr=leanser daily.

Soiunds like a lot of work, but it's easier fo rme than waxing.

After my waxer hiked up her prices (I'd be shelling out about $150 a month to keep things smooth), I switched back to shaving. As soon as she realizes she's a crazy bitch and needs to bring her prices down I'm going straight back to waxing.

    To shave I:
Cover the area in Nair or Veet (the Veet foam I like)
Let that sit for about 5 minutes
    Rinse off in the shower
Lather up with men's sensitive skin shave gel
Shave in with the grain and then against it
    Dry off and moisturize liberally

Ever since I've done it this way, I haven't had any ingrowns or bumps. The depilatory keeps the hair thinner and not as coarse. But the stuff definitely does not work on its own.

Oh yeah. For shaving a good razor is a must. I like the new ladies Shick Quattro. Never use same razor more than twice. It is soooo worth the $ to use a new one every other time.

My last piece of advice it to let the hair grow every now and then. I will let mine grow all out if I'm not working or doing something else which makes the shaving necessary - that gives the skin a rest which is so helpful. Then when I shave again it's smooth as a baby's butt.

Geez. That laser is looking more and more attractive...

This is gonna sound weird, but I have been shaving since I was like 15.
Scrub with a loufa in hot bath to my skin soft and exfoiliated.
Lather with mens sensitive shaving gel.
    shave with the grain.
then i put secret deodrant on afterwords. Sounds weird but it helps with razor burn.
I also wash it with salacylic acne cleanser daily.
    Pluck as it comes back.

Best advice ever: LASER HAIR REMOVAL!!! My wife shaved for years...always had the razor burn and a few days later the pain with the stubble...now she has had laser and it is the most amazing thing ever!!! I will warn you however that it feels (according to her) that they are poking you with thousands of needles when they are doing it...if you can get past the discomfort it is awesome.

I was looking into laser hair removal and was told that you can buy numbing cream to put on before the treatment...so it doesn't have to be so uncomfortable!

Laser hair removal is really expensive, but supposedly, even if you only get a couple of treatments it will still greatly reduce your hair growth, so you would still be able to shave a lot less often, and not have same day stubble (my problem).

Try doing a search on google. There are tons of online stores that carry it.
If you don't want to buy online though, I belive Sephora has it in their stores.

    Buy a Shiek Intuition razor.
Shave the bikini line (from edge of buttcrack upwards to the top of the pubic area) on the inside of the leg.
shave the top going from the center where your clit is and form a "v" as you shave . This will help you stay against the grain
then pull the labia minora out (grip with your hand to stretch) and shave sideways (toward the knee)
bend over and position the razor between your buttcheecks and do one stroke on each side to remove the hairs there\

Very important, with the Shiek Intuition that you lather by smoothing the razor over the skin without touching it with the blade. This will soften and moisten the area to be shaved.

I know some of you dislike the Intuition razor, but I gotta tell you, this one gives me the closest shave and minimal irritation, even without after-care.

Tend Skin does absolutely NOTHING for me! It's not cheap, either.

    I use Mach 3 razors.

I use shower gel as my shaving cream. Conditioner makes me break out and stuff. Shaving creams dry out my skin.

    I shave sideways.

After shaving, I apply witch hazel and then neosporin or Calydryl Clear. I am still looking for the perfect after shave ointment, though. I'm gonna try shea butter.

Then I wear boy short undies to prevent ingrown hairs.

What Bridgette said about waiting a while to shave really works well.

do you shave with the neosporin? or do you wash it out before you shave? it would seem as if hte neosporin would clog up the razor

as for me, i shave aganist the grain with a new razor and put deordarnt on afterwards, i have used tend skin and i have found the deodarent method to work better

Skintimates used to make a shave cream for the bikini and underarms and it rocked. I can't find it any more. Always use a new razor, go with the grain and I use a chemicle exfoliater daily on the ares to prevent razor burn and ingrowns. Natura Bisse makes a 20% glycolic treatment for the body which works wonders. It stings like crazy when you first start using in but you get used to it after a week.
