    Default Bartender spiking drinks?

There's a bartender at my work that has had a thing for me for awhile now. He's been open about. Telling me he's had dreams about me, coming in on his days off and trying to get me to hang out with him, that sort of stuff. Well, he is also the owner's half brother, so he gets away with this. As of late, he has been getting nasty with me. He used to always let me go home an hour early, along with the other bartenders, 'cause I get there early. Now he tells me no and then lets other girls leave that came in after me. I asked him why one night and he asked me if I was challenging him. I backed off 'cause I don't like trouble. Now, the last two nights I've worked with him I've noticed something. Monday night I was drinking Patron and didn't have close as the amount I usually do. Tuesday morning I woke up nauseous, throwing up, and a killer headache. Then last night I worked with again and was ordering Kettle One and Tonics, but they were real watered down so I only had 3. This morning I woke up the same. Sure, at first I went through the maybe I'm pregnant bit, but I'm not. So, I'm thinking he's doing this to me. What do you think? What should I do? Like I said, it's the owner's brother and they are from Iraq, so I don't think that's an option. I'm just wondering what else he's gonna do. I can handle it if he gives me stupid fines. But, spiking my drink worries me. Maybe I'm paranoid, but it doesn't seem right and I never ever leave my drinks with customers.

If you read between the lines of your post, you already know you have to leave.

Its not fair, its not legal, and its far from being "right",but it is life starin you in the face.
This story happens way to often,it very rarely ends well.

Dont drink at work for as long as it takes you to find somewhere else to work.

Sorry this happened, but you gotta follow your gut feeling and be safe.

You got a choice behind two doors.

Door #1-you gotta fuck him a few times.
Door#2-you gotta move on now before you lose the choice.

Girl.....you're probably right. I had a bouncer spike one of my drinks. Bottom line, no one should trust anyone in a strip club, staff or not.
My personal experience with Middle Eastern men also has taught me that they take a woman's rejections/ assertions like spoiled little boys.
Don't take any more drinks from him. Bring bottled water in with you if you have to. I doubt talking to his brother will do anything, he'll probably accuse you of lying, and no way in hell will the bartender admit what he did.
Sh*tty situation, but maybe a cue for you to go to a new club.

I just ran into a girl who had a similar experience. She actually passed out becasue 'someone" spiked her drink. Instead of being concerned the bouncer(s) actually went around telling people that she ODed from Heroin. Now, I like the girl and I honestly don't think she's a heroin child, she acts exactly the same everytime I see her, no dropy eyes, no bursts of anger, she's just a cool chick.
Well, she left that club and I think she is doing better now. She is obvoiusly hurt about the accusations, but she still stands tall and makes jokes, now that's a srtong individual!
It's a sad sad world when our own bouncers and bartenders (who we pay) will actually drug us and/or help the rumor mill turn.

Maybe it is time to go searching for another club. Thanks for the advice on this one. I'll just have to travel about 40 minutes because some stupid twerp that needs sex had to ruin it for me. For now, I'll just not drink at work. I'll bring in some bottled water.

It's too bad it doesn't taste "funny". You could hand your drink to a different manager. Sorry this had to happen, maybe he isn't long for that club?
I hate it when guys have the upper hand in our clubs and we are treated like sniveling, jealous idiots just because we happen to be female. I had a bartender that was just as insulting and tried to one up me because he went to "college", HA! I told what college I had gone to and he shut his trap since mine outranked him conciderably and won awards each year for its students and standards of living.
Good luck, I hope everything works out for the best.

This is the best thing you can do being a dancer. I've known several dancers who've been slipped one thing or another and no one noticed cuz they were always drinking and people thought that they just passed up their limit.

When you ONLY drink water at work...or only drink juice/pop...there's never a question about why you are acting "out of the ordinary".

I never drank at work. I always drank fake drinks if the customer "insisted" and I sipped so little of my champagne and dumped it into their glass that they thought I had a super-high tolerance.

But, I agree with the advice of finding a new club.

What BigGreen said. Time to get outta that club because if he's resorting to drugging you at work he WILL NOT stop at that. If you stick around you will sooner or later find yourself in a VERY bad situation with this dude, much worse than just being sick in the morning. I would run not walk away, NOW not later. It's unfortunate you can't do anything to stop the fucker. I would not go back there even one more night because he could decide at any second to take more drastic measures to get what he wants from you - especially if he sees you're no longer drinking at work so he can't just drug you!

Girl, for your sake I really hope you don't work there anymore! This is not something to play around with. Make the 40 minute drive if you have to - it's better than taking a chance with this psycho.

I wouldn't trust anyone. There are insane, vengeful people everywhere and the more they resent you, sometimes the more they try to hide it.

Sounds like he is putting G in your drinks. Worst part about that is mixing G and alcohol can kill a person.

I agree that you should not drink ANYTHING at that club from now on and change clubs asap.

I haven't been back since that happened. I'm gonna look for a club closer to LA. Sure, it's gonna be a drive, but I can stay with friends out there. I'm too scared to go back.
